I was wondering if anyone here used an herbal diuretic before a show to get rid of excess water, I used dandelion root but I was wondering what other people used, i was thinking baout trying taraxaton, also how long before a show do you guys start taking it?

I've used Taraxatone, somewhat expensive but seems to work pretty well. Start taking either that or dandilion about 3-5 days out and discontinue the day of the show.

how did you look at the show? Did the stuff work well?

It's hard to say how much the Taraxatone worked by itself, there's the factor of the diet, carb depletion and loading, water intake, glycerol, and salted oranges before going on stage, anyway here's how I looked(like bb.com hasn't already seen this picture a million times).

I got straight glycerol from NOW. I would mix 2 oz of it with 2 oz of water and 25g of chocolate protein powder. I'd drink it at 20 hours out, 12 hours out, and 4 hours out. The oranges were a quick carb. The salt was for a type of sodium loading, since I was depleted of sodium, my theory is that the sudden rush of sodium somehow caused me to pull even more water inside me and out from underneath my skin. I also ate Jolly Ranchers after the salted oranges because salted oranges don't taste good. Some people use candy bars for quick carbs, some people use honey, the funniest ever was the middleweight winner at the 2001 Superbody. He pulled a pack of sugar out of his posing trunks while he was on stage.
