I'll have to try to remember to look on the scooper to see if it says. It's a pretty big scoop, but it seems less than the four scoops of cyto-gainer if my memory serves right.

Yeah what turned me away from it was the really high number of carbs...but better high carbs than high fats (unless you don't take your gainer pwo)

Muscle Juice has 18 grams of fat (9 grams since I mix 2 scoops for one shake) either way that's a a high number of fats pwo imo

I like Muscle Juice but it's definitely not something I'll be taking for a long time...Maybe I'll do this tub and another, but I won't go further than that (unless my gains are really good from 2 tubs)

I've tried PVL's Mutant Mass...didn't like it, didn't gain much weight...5 lbs I think...not that bad because ny diet was very lean (my bulking diet was pretty clean, that's why the fat gain was low)

If I was on the bulk I am on now, the fat gain would have been higher and probobly would have seen better results...

i picked up a 6 lb cytogainer (chocolate mint) at vitamin world today for 30 bucks because i read such great reviews about it in this thread. im gonna take 3 scoops PWO and 1 more with a meal. i hope its as good as everyone says

This looks more like an protein powder with much more protein...You sure this is a gainer? 5 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fats, dude this isn't a gainer...not saying you can't gain weight with it though, because you can gain with anything with a good diet...

This reminds me of On Pro Complex (not the gainer one), high protein, low in eveverything else...

I'm still on my GNC Mass XXX tub, for anyone thinking about getting some here is what I use. 18-19oz of whole milk, 1 scoop of the powder, 2 tablespoons flax seeds. 1/2 cup of oats, 2/3 cup almonds. It really fills me up and tastes really damn good.

Cytogainer Malt Chocolate is the best, but I had to settle for cookies-n-creme last time because Malt Chocolate was out and its ok just doesn't mix as well in my opinion...

Cytogainer Malt Chocolate is the best, but I had to settle for cookies-n-creme last time because Malt Chocolate was out and its ok just doesn't mix as well in my opinion...

Im thinking about picking up a tub of cytogainer. I have been taking ON 100% whey for a while now, so i was wondering if its alright to cut the ON whey out of my diet and substitute it with the cytogainer? What are the most efficient time sto take it? Obviously after the workout, but what other time of day is good?

Back to gainers...My parents picked me up a second tub of Muscle Juice for xmas. So far I really like Muscle Juice...

After I going threw my current tub and the tub I am getting for xmas, I am going with true mass until I hit 190lbs

As far as gainers go I am you're average ectomorph and it works considerably well... i've lost body fat while putting on a solid 5lbs.

and then again you could be right and maybe it is just the diet.


before I tried this i also took Xyience: XGainer which worked very well also

Gainers don't make you gain the weight, they really do help you, especially when your an active and busy guy...

I am taking Muscle Juice and love it, going to take this tub, then another, and the way it's going maybe a third, then True Mass until I hit 190-200lbs...then cut down to an average 10-13 percent body fat

I really like it, it is not good quality but that's not what I was looking for in a gainer...I just wanted something big that with help me gain weight at a quick paste...

It is high in sugar and in cholesterol, but I eat clean, am active and well at 16 these aren't things to stress over...besides I won't be taking Muscle Juice very long, short term thing...

Overall I like it...JM

Nope, but I've heard alot of good things about it and one of the reasons I like it is because of the high content of fats, something you don't get with cytogainer without adding peanut butter or nuts or whatever

I also like the fact it doesn't contain so much protein, I like this because I have no problems getting protein anywhere else

So by taking 2 servings a day, I get 90 grams of protein, if I took 2 servings of cyto, I'd be getting 108

Sure I could take 6 scoops instead of 8, but I've tried cyto and it was great, I had good gains, but True Mass has caught my eye and I want to give it a shot

whoa, i just checked it out. 18g of sat fat?!? That's waaaay too much imo. on a 3,000 cal. diet, that over half of your daily need of it. count me out, ill stay away from that

Yep, but I only take one serving a day...so it gives me a total of 18 grams of fats and 18 of saturated...Plus like I've said many times, I eat pretty damn clean during the day and live an active lifestyle, lots of sports and cardio...

How old are you? I see your like 121lbs and 5'7....Are you my age? If you are I honestly wouldn't worry about it...keep this in mind, muscle juice is not something you take for 5 months or for a lifetime, it's short term...

I won't be taking muscle juice for any more than 2-3 months, only been taking it for 2 weeks now...going to go through 3 tubs of the stuff then go with something a little cleaner and healthier

Edit: Oh yeah forgot to mention this, you do know saturated fats is anabolic right, so if you eat clean and get in 18 grams of sat fats during the day, I think it wouldn't be a bad thing, like I said muscle juice is not long term...it's a shot term thing

let me start off by saying my stats are not updated. im 15 btw

on my diet i get around 35-40g sat fat (lot of milk) so i would not like to add another 18, thats way too much imo since i only eat 3000-3500 cals a day. but yes some sat. fat is good for you, but too much is bad

with Ultimate Nutritions Muscle Juice the regular serving size is over 1000 calories. Yes, I've been fighting off the fat it has given me for a LONG time and its not going away anytime soon.

for a skinny kid, sure, why not? its cheap.

because it will make you morbidly obeese.

I highly doubt you became obese by taking 2 tubs lol...Gainers don't make you gain mass or fat...your diet does...that's why you have to select a gainer best for you and your needs

For me Muscle Juice is perfect...for the guys who don't play any team sports and do very little cardio and just sit around waiting to get fat, well that's their problem...remember this: Alot of guys get away with eating loads of crap all day yet they lift hard and play sports and do lots of cardio and don't gain a whole lot of fat...

There's so many ways to diet and so many things you can do and so many things you can chose not to do..

I like Muscle Juice and I am sticking to it until I go through 3 tubs, then True Mass until I hit 190-200lbs

Then cutting time

I like Beef Cake 4000. It comes with 4000 grams of Saturated fat and it goes straight to your arteries, and Gut. Cartmen used it and he loved it...BEEEEFFF CAAAAAAKE!!!!!!

220lbs is my main goal...but you realise I can't bulk until I hit 220, too long of a bulk, I'd gain too much fat...and trying to cut that fat off would be tough and I would cut off muscle as well lol

Bulk until I hit 190, then cut, then bulk til I hit 200 or so...do this until I can finally be a lean 220...this is going to be long lol...couple of years I assume

I am hoping to hit 220 at a low bfp (10-13 percent) by the time I am 20years old

how bout mass-tech? i just bought it seeing that it has 830calories and 150carbs, and 45protein, BUT it only has 10 servings in a tub so i think i made a bad choice :( i normally take cytogainer or true mass... but has any1 gained from mass tech?

damn... im pretty bad in weight gainers for taste... thats why i only like bsn's true mass, isopure, and cytogainer is good too but just wanted to see how this 1 is... any1 else?

A guy told me he took Mass Tech said it was alright, but overpriced and he said he didn't recommend it

Hell if I were you I'd give Real Gains a try, you're 18 so this would be a good time...

I wouldn't go with N Large 2 though, a girl I know who is a nutritionist and the owner of the supps store (I know her well, honest salesman), she said she doesn't think N Large 2 is that good of a gainer

Then again she told me she didn't like Muscle Juice and was only carrying it because it was on demand, but the reason she doesn't like it is because it contains more whey concentrate than anything else...

They do not recommend Real Gains unless your 18 and older...that's why I mentioned you being 18...muscle juice goes down real well because of the sugar lol, no bloat, no stomach aches or anything lol...I am quite impressed with Muscle Juice

Well if you bought it at GNC they have a 30 day return policy or something like that, as for other stores, I don't know...best of luck with that though

x2, just organize how your taking everything though, make sure it's on key with your diet...I would take the whey post workout, maybe one scoop with a meal

And cyto maybe 1 to 1.5 servings during the day...

Servings will vary on your size, goals and diet..so do your homework lol...best of luck

I workout 3 days a week, and take a full serving each workout day, and take half servings on Saturday and Sunday. And I've heard some people on here saying that they use a serving of gainer to replace one of their meals.. I would think that would be a bad idea.. do some of you people actually do that?


btw, I take Real Gains... it has one of the most cleanest looking profiles I have seen for a gainer and its pretty cheap compared to others. Plus it has a good taste. Definitely recommend it over Muscle Juice. And just because it says only take if you are 18 doesn't mean ****.. its the same as any other gainer but without all the sugars, unwanted fats, and has more complex carbs. A+ in my book.

edit: I just looked on the label and it doesn't even say anything about being 18

I've been told this by many Universal Nutrition reps, they said they didn't recommend I take it at all...like alot of universal products they are designed for people over 18 containing products teenagers do not need at all in their systems, we also know universal makes alot of anabolic products meaning they are no stranger to anything anabolic, since this is the case, maybe Real Gains is a bit anabolic, I don't know, what I do know is people have told me not to take it

Also, I don't undertand why people take half servings on non workout days and full ones on workout days, I don't understand the reasoning in this...it's still a day and you still need food, when working out your body doesn't need extra protein, carbs, fats...everyday should have equal macros if you ask me

As far as the replacing meals thing goes, well that depends on your diet...I know instead of having a small meal at 10:30 am I take 2 scoops of Muscle Juice and at 3:30 pm I do the same...this will vary from person to person, because of their goals, diets, cardio being done, etc

i do that, i have my gainer 4x a week when i workout, and the other 3 days i make a homemade gainer with milk, whey, pb, and some other stuff. i do it mostly cause its cheaper - the gainer lasts longer and whey is cheaper than a gainer

Yes but your situation isn't like the what the otehr guy was asking...your doing this because of cash, he was asking if people take gainers on workout days and less on non and what not...the way I see it you should eat the same amount of cals every day...When you workout it's not like your body needs more protein, carbs and fats like if it was fuel lol..

No matter what day it is, I eat the same amount of cals...

You may think Muslce Juice is crap, but tell that to a friend of mine on this forum who gained 30lbs in 3 months with the help of Muscle Juice and some creatine monohydrate...lean gains as well, not 26lbs of fat and 4lbs of muscle...He told me if your serious about bulking, Muscle Juice is for you..

But I've noticed you are 27...at 27 you are definitely looking out for high sugar and cholesterol, so Muscle Juice probobly isn't for you...for me its alright, I am young and can take advantage of this...

For you the best gainer you could take is ON Pro Complex Gainer, Real Gains, CytoGainer or IsoGainer....Isopure also has a gainer, I checked it out, looks pretty solid...

Any of these would probobly be perfect for you..

Oh yeah, how could I forget True Mass...this really looks like a solid gainer, I am definitely gonna give it a shot, as long as the BSN lawsuit doesn't bring up that all their products are garbage...cause as we know, there have been many threads saying CellMass contained no active ingredients, maybe they are lying about other products as well, like True Mass..hard to say though

Well I just bought Cytogainer chocolate mint thinking it would taste better then the one I had before which was Ultimate Nutrition ISO Mass Xtreme, boy was I wrong this stuff taste worst then **** and cat piss mixed together. Seriously is there a gainer out there that actually taste good. I just wasted 60 bucks. I don't think im ganna drink it again, it taste that bad.

The normal choc malt is goooood. Choc. Mint I thought was pretty gross too. Take it back and tell em you threw up on it, and get the choc. malt.

Oh hell yeah. I used to manage a couple GNC's. As long as it's within 30days, they'll take it back. Anything GNC brand you have like 60 or 90 days (it's been awhile), and you don't even have to have the receipt!

But yeah, on non-GNC products, take the receipt back, if you opened it or not, and they'll give you money back. If you lost the receipt, they might let you swap it out. Try to go to the person that sold it to you tho if you lost the receipt. I know it's possible to return w/o a receipt, I've done it before.

Yeah with my old gainer, which was also disgusting, I had to plug my nose and just down it in 20 secs. I would gag after and thinking of food made me sick. I'll try bringing it back but I don't think im ganna get another one, ganna have to stick with food.

I wouldn't say best gainers, definitely the cleanest gainers and the gainers that are better quality...

However, saying wether a gainer is the best or not is hard to say....because if we could just name the one we've had the best experience with well I would say Muscle Juice...but it doesn't work like that

Almost everyone here lives a somewhat different lifestyle, and have different diets, goals, etc...so depending on these things, this will determine wether the gainer is best FOR YOU...

there is no best gainer if you ask me...but there is definitely a best gainer for different lifestyles, sizes, ages, etc

But in general, if we determine which one is best by quality, well real gains, cytogainer, pro complex gainer, isopure's gainer are probobly the best

But for me a clean gainer wasn't the best...because I play alot of sports and eat very clean during the day...so really muscle juice was the best gainer I've taken, because it was very suitable imo for my lifestyle

BUT, I do not think Muscle Juice is something that should be taken long term, especially when an adult because of the sugars and cholesterol...

I am just taking this short term, first tub almost empty and I have a second one, then I think I'll take a 3rd one, then go try True Mass I think..

Well I am liking it, gains so far were pretty good except the past few days of the bulk have been kind of ****ty, xmas around the corner, some buddies are back home from college and I also have exams these days so this has been f*cking up my eating habits a bit...BUT I have put on just about 5lbs while taking muscle juice (keeping in mind the gainer plays a secondary role and the actual eating makes a big difference, but the gainer is a very nice help)

you have to have a time frame like shake 45 min - hr before working then 1 like 45 min after your workout or right before you go to bed

it helps add more calories and protein in your diet keep in mind you will still need regular meals but if you have your regular meals + doing this you will add muscle faster

Ok cool, but this varies from diet to diet really...Like depending on how your day is and how your meals are divided and what not, because I am sure if 10 guys on a bulk compared their diets, there would be many differences as far as timing and what not goes, because we all live a different lifestyle

But that's a cool idea, I am going to give this a shot sometime to see how it works for me

Yeah I mean meals are the most important day protein shakes are a good way to pack on calories throughout the day to maintain or add to your physique just keep in ind your diet is the most important thing. I try to eat a lot of steak and chicken as well because they are high in protein.

I think everyone is aware that food is better than a gainer, a gainer isn't necessary really, BUT they can be a big help for some guys (me for one)

I benefit from gainers simply because I am a busy guy and live a very active lifestyle, so what better than to grab a tub, scoop out some powder, mix it with water, take off and drink it when needed or drink it right away...very convenient for me and anyone who needs some quick calories, so for some a gainer is great...

I think it will be a good mrp, BUT I think next time you should grab muscle milk collegiate or just the normal muscle milk, your call...

Prolab NLarge2 is the best IMO on the market right now. It has the best flavor, best price for protein and calories, and it definitely works. ON Mighty 3000 is also good but haven't seen it around anymore.

Thats one of your best bets, relatively low sugar, high calories, and good protein. Too high carb/protien ratio which can often be a problem for a lot of work outs. The substance itself is like glue. You got to blend it in a blender usually for it to resemble liquid. And the taste is mediocre at best. It is cheap though with 6lbs for 21 dollars. 12Lbs can run you as cheap as $32 (strawberry at the Vitamin Shoppe.)

Muscle Milk is probably a better bet for calcium, carbs. The price will run you more for things that you might not need but its often worth it if you really need amino acids for repair. Also due to a relatively low BV with some common ones you can often get longer effects rather than more rapid. This can possibly be a good thing or bad. Before going to bed taking some muscle milk would be much more beneficial than Serious Mass. The product will make you wake up much more anabolic.


Everyones body is so different that this thread can't accomplish much more than looking at ingredients and price. I have a friend who is insanely jacked and used regular protein supplements with medium/low calorie intake and just mixes it with some whole milk and a couple of eggs. Find what works and the most important thing is to stay healthy.

Hey Everyone. After reading this thread I decided to get off my IsoPreme protein drink and try a weightgainer. I bought CytoGainer Chocolate. Luckily, I found 6 1/2 lbs for $39 and bought two jars of it. It's pretty expensive compared to the protein shakes I've used before since each jar only contains 18 servings and they recommend three servings a day.

I think the stuff is awesome. I can't speak as to the results, since I've only just started using it but the flavor is good and it mixes better than any powder shake I've ever tried.

The guy at the store gave me a sample of True-Mass which looks to have the same protein/carb content but with a lot more vitamins and minerals. Maybe I'll try it next.

Well I've been told by many guys not to make a huge deal out of it, because I am young and muscle juice is something you take on the short term

I agree with you 100 percent though, I wouldn't be caught dead buying a 3rd or 4th tub, that is just plain dumb...I took Muscle Juice because two guys who knew alot more than I did about it, recommended it

But Muscle Juice is something you take for a month or 2, no more...And to be honest I would probobly never take it again, because let's face it, it's not a clean and healthy gainer, and when I get around 18-20 years old, it's really time to watch out for dirty gainers like this, especially since both sides of my family shave heart problems (luckily no diabetes)

well here's a curve ball... i was taking cyto gainer and cell mass... i was gaining fairly well but my neck and cheeks looked like balloons! i mean im only 28 (to young to form a gobbler!) haha but seriously i looked ridiculous. my body looked better than ever but my face getting so fat detered me from my weight gain goal.....
so do you guys have any suggestions or other products maybe that i could try?
i quit all supplements after that except for muscle milk and i would rather not get back on a creatine. thank you guys in advance for your much needed help!!!!

I don't think creatine did it to be honest, I think it may have been the weight gain diet (bulking in other words)...that may have done it, I seriously doubt creatine would have done it, especially cell mass, maybe a creatine mono, but even then

To be quite honest with you, I despise the taste of about any gainer, Muscle Juice however was the easiest one to stomach (probobly due to the high amount of sugar)

I've only had chocolate myself, I don't love the taste, but it goes down quite easy...

I was going to try True Mass, I like the fact that it is high in fats (unlike cytogainer) only has 45 grams of protein per serving (which is an ideal number for my diet imo) and the carbs are at a good number as well

I am going to stick with Muscle Juice, down my new tub, then another, then see if I want something leaner like True Mass if not I'll stick with Muscle Juice until I cut

It tastes alright with milk. I've had Chocolate Ice Cream Real Gains with milk and it was sorta bland because the flavor isn't too strong. Cytogainer has a more distinct flavor and tastes better with milk IMO.

It does have a lot of sat fat in it for sure. It's great for bulking though, especially for guys who have a hard time gaining weight. I always took it earlier in the morning so I had the day to burn it off. Not the greatest to have right before bed.

Like I said above, the fat can be good for some people and you should take it at the right time. The sugar... well sugar sucks but if you have trouble gaining weight like I did in the begining, it's the best cure I know of. 185lbs - 214 lbs in 12 months. Not much of it fat either.

I'd say use it for a bit, until you see some good weight gains. Maintain that weight for a while then cut out the MJ in favor of a leaner gainer. I use True Mass now but there's lots of good lean ones out there. I'm gonna be using CytoSport next.

Agreed, and another thing, if you live an active lifestyle (like hockey 3x a week, martial arts 2-3x a week, 10-15 mins cardio before every workout 3x a week plus some other sports during gym) or anything else...if you do all of this, you pretty much need something to help you out just a bit, muscle juice does the trick

If you are active, eat clean and lots and are serious about bulking there is no reason to fear muscle juice, it definitely works and works well

I'm currently taking my weight gainer as a PWO shake, and somedays I dont get home from the gym until 8 or 9 (other days 6 or 7), would it be a bad idea to take muscle juice this late after a work out?

I would suggest taking it in the morning (maybe a 3/4 portion). Then take a much leaner gainer right after your workout if you get home that late. Then have a high protein, medium carb/fat meal before bed about 45 mins after you get home. Too much sugar before bed is not something you want.

Homemade is the way to go!

Here is my favorite:

2 scoops ON Whey (Banana Cream)
2 Tablespoons Chunky Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Oats
10-12 Ounces of 2% Milk
1 Banana

Mix for 35-45 Seconds in a blender on low speed and BAM!!

Taste AMAZING and by my calculations has:
710 Calories
70 Grams of Protein

Sure it sounds crazy but put it this way, if it has 5000 calories, you can bet this is no small shake, probobly have to mix it with 6 glasses of water or milk, first of all that's not convenient, second it's not easy to down 5000 cals without feeling sick or even gagging, I mean this is crazy lol, thirdly...

Honestly, who in the BLUE H3LL needs 5000 calories in one shake, I mean I take in roughly 3800-4200 calories in one day for my bulk, I know I am no giant but alot of guys think this is quite high maintenance, but I play burn my share during the day due to sports, so I need it

Back to the point, russian bear 5000 is probobly one of those gainers aiming towards the very big bodybuilders and even then, 5k sounds crazy

I've briefly looked through this thread, but I'd like information on a strictly organic gainer with absolutely NO artificial ingredients, especially sweeteners. Stevia is ok. Personally, I've never really needed a weight gainer, but I'm willing to experiment as I want to continue lifting and improving as I age.

The homemade concoctions look interesting, but I need as many anecdotal cases per concoction as possible to verify their relative effectiveness in promoting lean muscle mass.

I'm 5'9 and stuck at 156 lbs (mesomorphic), and have tried gaining weight by increasing caloric intake from 1,800 to about 2,700 calories with no luck.

If I take a weight gainer, I'm concerned I might not be training long enough and I might gain weight in my stomach.

I'm training (pretty hard) about 1 hour and 15 minutes per day per body part.

Is this enough to see mass gains?

I think you're in danger of overtraining. That's just too much time pe day per bodypart. Unless you training once in the morning, take a nap and train again at night. Otherwise... that's just too much and you're asking for injuries.

I also don't think taking in 2700 calories will do much. In my estimation based on your weight, moderately active life and workouts, you burn about 2870 calories per day. So you should be taking in more than this if you want to gain mass. Gainers are a good way to add the extra calories you need if you can't seem to get enough from food.

Dymatize High Protein Mega Gainer worked awesome for me! It has a decent blend of 5g of creatine, 600 calories, 60g of protein and 80g + of carbs. It also breaks down really easily so you don't feel full, it tastes fairly decent and the cost is AMAZING for a gainer and it is almost 30 servings. My favorite so far!

Yes, I do think that a full hour dedicated to shoulders lets say, is excessive. Spending an hour in the weight room is fine, but doing a few bodyparts. Maybe for larger groups like back, 45 mins would be ok. It really sucks to get injured. The time you lose from training ude to injury is not worth the small gains you may get from overtraining.

Dymatize High Protein Mega Gainer is my favorite gainer out of a handfull I have tried! It has 600 calories, 3g of fat (non saturated), 81g carbs but only 5g from sugar, and 60g of protein! The cookies & cream flavor is awesome for a gainer, and it even has a digestive enzyme mix to help break it down! It also has 5g of a creatine blend. I've tried more than a handfull and this one takes the cake! $48.97 for almost 30 servings is AMAZING! A perfect post-workout drink!

hey i just bought true mass and i was wondering how often should i take it.. and even on off days.. i have tried it once and i just took 3 scoops after my workout.. im thinking from now on on work out days 2 scoops b4 wo and 3 after wo.. on off days just 3 scoops as a meal replacement.. wut do u think.. thanks

Take 3 scoops right after your workout and 2 scoops as a meal replacement whenever you need it. I'd say have actual food either before or after your workout. A shake at both ends is ok, but nothing beats real food if you wanna make some good gains.

Sounds ok but it's better to load up on protein after your workout than in the morning.

I've tried a ton of gainers over the years, including N-Large 2, Cytogainer, and ON Serious Mass...out of those, I had the best results with N-Large but it became expensive.

Homeade method is very comparable, cheaper, great taste, and its REAL food:

1 whole egg, raw -- 90cal 9prot 0carb 6fat
2 egg whites, raw -- 32, 10, 0, 0
Medium banana -- 105, 1, 27, 0
2 Tbsp Peanut Butter -- 150, 6, 7, 17

I don't take Real Gains, not recommended for people under 18, not exactly sure why, but I've heard that it contains stuff that benefits older guys and that it wasn't needed for me...so I am not too sure

Bulk has it's ups and downs, but now it's going to be all ups, no more time to waste, I gotta do my best everyday if I want to hit my desired weight by May..

Well the original goal was 190lbs, sadly I don't think I have it in me to hit it by May, I am still going to try my best but I am hoping to reach a minimum weight of 180lbs

Yeah, wow, as of now, to reach 190 from today, with the weight your at, is a pretty big challenge man, Id say 180 sounds good, or try to get to about 180-185, and not be upset if you fall a bit short...

Yeah my goal to hit 190 in may was more possible when I made that goal, because the plan was to gain 5lbs a month, and at that time I would have hit 190 in that time...

I still think it is possible though, because I was 170lbs, but lost it quick due to the holidays and as they say, weight you lose fast can be gained just as fast...

But I will be happy if I hit 180-185...then it will be cutting time

n-large I found to be the best. I have tried 8 other brands with little or no gains. N-large made me gain 43lbs in a 6 month span. I am verry happy.

I was like that with heavy weight gainer i had good gains but my farts smelled horrible and sometimes it made my stomach hurt. Serious Mass doesn't mess up my stomach but I haven't had the same amazing gains.

Ive tasted some pretty nasty weight gainers in my time and mega mass 2000 was one of them ::puke:: I really do not use any weight gainers now because regular protein products in my opinion have out done most weight gainers. If I had to pick one though it would be Cytogainer because of what it has in it which is A LOT.

I just took a tub of True Mass. Tastes good and mixes pretty well. Just helped me maintain my weight though. Not great for gaining in my opinion. I just started on Cyto so we'll see how that goes...

Muscle milk does seem to be a great deal more expensive than cytogainer. I think I have decided that I will start using cytogainer unless I find something that is cheaper with the same amount of protein. Im curious if I should expect to have to take 4 scoops of something in order to get 50+ grams of protein?

Anyone try Ultimate Nutrition's IsoMass? Now, I'm not one to buy in all the supplement hype (I use protein and Creatine) but I tried a sample of this and it tasted/mixed awesome. And on top of that, disregarding all the added supplement hype, the actual nutrition facts as a moderate weight gainer is pretty amazing.

Anyone have any experience with this product? It's making me want to throw away everything and just buy a monthly subscription to it :D

in the past ive spent loads on weight gainers and they do work but cost alot so now i just buy some desent proten and make my own.

1scoop pro powder.
30g peanut butter.
300ml semi skimmed.
100g oats.
1 banana.

throw in a blender and hey presto it gives approx 50g protein, 100g of good carbs, 15g of good fat.
