Just wanted to ask on behalf of my other half. He has sustained tendonitis through squatting. He has tried the 'anti-inflammatory' creams, and ice, and stretching, but it has not really helped to get rid of it.

He has also tried to work the muscle lightly by doing forearm, bicep and tricep work, but the problem is still there.

Can anyone suggest anything that might help other than this to get him back into action?

Thanks!!

Gracious

im assuming its bicep tendonitis?

Hammer curls supposedly help with it... look through the mian PL forum in the injurythread, i think there are some discussions that may apply

Large amounts of ibuprofen as an anti-inflammatory. At least 1000mg/day for a week or so. Also hand position can greatly affect tendonitis in the squat. If he can try moving his hands out as far as possible (to the collars) this will put much less strain on the biceps. Of course a lot of ppl feel less stable this way.
