I'm curious on how most of you girls can tolerate your cals so low. When I competed 5yrs ago I was still dieting between 13-1500 and I know I have a lot more muscle now. I stay to diet between 16-1800 cals. I would literally starve if they were any lower for a certain amount of time and therefore lead me to failure. I just would like to know where everyone stands as compared to their bodyfat and lean mass. I love how you guys are so disiplined. I am on my way to joining you !! :)

You start your calories from your base diet and start deducting from there...They should be low the final weeks but not 12 weeks out.

I was under the impression that when calorie levels crept so low, you body hangs onto BF. When you gradually reduce the calories down as opposed to dropping them suddenly to such low levels does that trick your body or something?
