Hey, I was just wondering if anyone could help me on food choices. I need carbs that are very low GI and full of fiber. I was thinking broccoli, green beans, oatmeal, lentils, kidney beans, black beans...anymore ideas would really help. If I did choose the legumes could they be canned in water, or would I have to cook them? I am confused! Please Help!

Why do you want food that low in GI. You have good choices already.

thanks for all the replies. No, I am not prepping for a contest. I am just changing my diet around. I eat only low GI foods so I needed some alternatives. Also, are tilapia and Mahi Mahi ok fish to eat or there better sources? I can get them cheap so I just wanted to know. thanks

Yeah there good fish, but low in fat. If you want fish with more good fat you can't beat salmon. Also, I highly recommend that you make sure that the fish you buy is "wild caught" and not "farm raised".
