my mom is 45 and she wanted to know if she could have a weight or whatever routine to lose some of the weight in her arms, legs(thighs), and stomach, she just wants to tone not be a professional bodybuilder, any ideas, i workout at home so i have all equipment shed need if it was lifting, any ideas?

If her primary goal is to lose the fat in those locations, she'll need to do cardio. I think a full body weight workout a couple of times per week would help a lot too.

If she's concerned about looking like a bodybuilder, don't let her use steroids. :D In other words, it's not going to happen unless she REALLY wants it to.

I am 47 and have been working out for years. She needs to do both weights and cardio, and also do a clean diet.
As she is getting older, it is even more important for her to begin a weight lifting program to keep her bones strong.

Unfortunately, we can not pick where we will lose the weight...but if she gets herself started on a good routine, that involves diet, weight training and cardio, she will eventually get the body she wants.

trish u being her age and knowing about it, what would u suggest for her, she is beginner at it even tho she has done some fitness stuff over time, no weight training tho
