Hello All,

Thank you to MAN and dwm230000 for allowing me to review the product.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/man/body.html

I just received it today and decided to get some of this in me today. I mixed one scoop in water. The taste was really good, it was citrusy and very tasty with no bad aftertaste. It also mixed well, there was no residue at the bottom of the cup.

I did notice the niacin type flush but it went away in about 20 minutes.

I will be testing this mostly to see how this can increase my endurance in jiu jitsu class during the training sessions. I also work out at home a few times a week with a sand bag and do some running too.

I will report in tomorrow as I will be working out from home.

Ok took one scoop today about 45 mins prior to workout.

I did sprinting on the treadmill for 10 minutes, roughly 30 seconds running 30 seconds jogging.

I followed that up with some sand bag work. I cannot due any upper body stuff now because of a shoulder injury.

I did squats, deadlifts, zercher squats, bent over rows, renegade rows and abs.

The workout was pretty good for a home workout. Its probably one of the longer workouts I did at home. My legs held up pretty well. It's probably a bit too early to for the product to be taking effect just yet.

Will be taking my second scoop a bit later today.

Will check in tomorrow.

Day 3.

Im back. Well, after my work out yesterday my lower back was in tremendous pain. Yes I also have a lower back problem along with my shoulder issue. Anyway, last night I took a pain killer to get through it, the back feels a little better today.

I decided to not doing any exercise today to give the lower back a break. I took my 2 servings today and just to comment on the taste, its really good, like a nice and sweet lemonade.

Another observation, this seems to affect me quickly after ingesting. The flush comes within 3 minutes. The flushing hasn't been as bad lately.

I'm hoping that my school is open tomorrow, I havent trained since last tuesday and I would like to see if the BO is working. If school is closed I will have to workout at home.

Day 4

O/T story first :D

I was cutting an orange for the kids and i slipped and cut my finger. I dropped everything and ran into the bathroom and immediatley ran water over it. I think i got close to a 1/4 of the way deep and I was panicking. I didnt really bleed much for some reason but it hurt like a son of a bitch. My kids were asking if I was ok and finally my wife came in to see what happened. At that point although I really wasnt bleeding I started to get pale and light headed. I hate the site of blood especially mine, so i kicked everyone out and was feeling dizzy. I got to my bed to lay down and was soaking wet with sweat, I calmed my self down and got back to "normal" :D

Ok with that out of the way.

No class today as the school was closed. I knew I couldnt do too much today with my finger hurting and I wanted it to heal for training on wednesday.

I decided to take my sand bag and do as many squats as possible, just one big set would be my workout.

Now in the past I have done 100 body weight squats in a row but it was a struggle, the burning in my legs was pretty bad.

Now I didnt have a set number in my head, I was thinking of 100 but wasnt sure how my lower back would hold out.

Well I ended up doing 100 squats in a row and to be honest I could have done more, my legs felt pretty good, not one bit of burn, they were a bit tired but absolutely no burn. My lower back was bothering me so that is the reason why I stopped.

I was pretty happy with what I did, in the past just doing body weight squats would have fried my legs. Now Im not lifitng huge amounts of weight here, Im not genetically gifted on the strength department. The sand bag weighs 40 lbs but for me this is a big improvement.

Til tomorrow.

Day 6

Update from last night.

Went to class and we did some light warm ups, nothing too crazy, then we got our class, worked on some techniques and then we trained.

I trained a total of 5 times for I believe 5 minutes each.

2 of the trainings were against a 100 pound 13 yr old who although is very good for his age is not going to make me work too hard.

I also trained with somone my age and weight but he is not as far along as me and while I had to work harder I still didnt have to go 100%.

I also had 2 seperate trainings with my instructor who is roughly my weight but so much more stronger than me and his jiu jitsu is just leaps and bounds above mine.

Overall I felt pretty good but I did feel like I was breathing a bit heavier than I would have liked and that was due to me not training for a week. All it takes is one week of me not training for me to feel that way.

I thought my muscles did not tire too bad but this was my first training for the week. By the time Saturday rolls around I woud like to see how they respond.

Side notes:

This stuff makes you pee, withine 45 minutes of drinking I have to knock people over cuz I gotta get to the bathroom.

Im pretty sore now, my shoulder is hurting along with most of my lower body specifically my lower back.

That's it for now.

Its a new school in my town, Advantage Martial Arts. The owners have a few other schools in the Tampa Bay area already. Its pretty well-rounded. Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai & grappling/submission training on the nights I go.

Day 9

I was suppossed to go to class today but an incident at the Dr's office screwed me up.

I went to get my lab work done like I usually do every 5-6 weeks.

The Dr. took the blood and I was on my way out the door while I was walking to my car I looked at my arm where he drew from because he took it in a lower than usual spot. I stopped dead in my tracks as I now see a lump the size of a golf ball where he drew from. i decided to go back and ask what happened and he said ok its no bige deal you had a ------ I cant remember what you call it, he had to press this thing down and then I iced it for a bit. He told me I would be fine but sore. Well, he was right, i am extremely sore in that area, it hurts just bending the arm.

So I must apologize to MAN for this. I will be working out tomorrow and plan on pushing very hard.

Til Tomorrow

Day 10

Sorry for the late update. I had rough saturday night / sunday morning. My wife isnt due until the end of this month but she had some bad contractions saturday night so we went to the hospital. We got there around 10pm and we ended up getting sent home since it wasn't time.

We got home around 3:30 am sunday and I had really hard time falling asleep. Needless to say I was a bit run down on sunday but I worked out anyway.

I decided to put another 10lbs in the bag and just do squats to see how many I could do.

I did another 100 in a row and this time at a slightly faster pace than before. My legs were really tired and it was getting very very diffcult to continue but I made it to 100. My legs were like rubber for several hours afterwards.

My legs feel fine today which was cool, usually I would be very sore. I have class tonight, keeping my fingers crossed so I can actually get there. Will update tonight.

Had class last night.

My legs got more sore through out the day yesterday so I wasnt sure how my training would go.

I Trained with 5 different people at 5 minutes each and felt pretty good, at no point did I feel my muscles tire. I was a bit winded but nothing too bad, I think that is from not training as much recently. So far I am happy, I have class on Wednesday night as long as the wife doesnt go into labor and we shall see how im doing then.

Nice. Mine are 2, 4, 6 and well 0 :)

I go to class on average 3 x a week, usually mon, wed and sat. I try to squeeze in 2 workouts per week at home but lately the injuries have been piling up. There are so many things that hurt now that I cannot fit it here.

I am actually seeing my Dr tonight to go over my MRI for my shoulder. I am hoping to schedule a date for surgery. I injured my ac joint and it hurts all the time. We we see how it goes.

I just finished my bachelor's finally 2 weeks ago, so I will get to start rolling 2 nights a week. Tues & Thurs. Also some Saturday mornings for an hour, depending on my kids' sport schedules.

Once my injuries subside, this is my workout plan. Until then, I'm playing it by ear.
Sunday: Chest & Arms
Monday: Back, traps & shoulders
Tues: MMA
Wed: Rest
Thurs: MMA
Fri: Rest
Sat: MMA & legs later in day.

Recovery time is a huge issue for me.

That's why recovery is very important to me. And I hate losing muscle and strength, but I love the MMA training. Just trying to find a happy medium where I can still progress at both. If I didn't push it this much, I wouldn't be making any progress.

When will you be having the surgery?

Trained only 3 times at 5 minutes each last night. Was feeling really good and wanted to do more but we ran out of time. My last training was with someone who is my weight and a little more skilled and whole lot stronger.

It was a tough battle as usual but I did not tire at all, I was feeling really good through out and wehn it ended I was hoping to train some more.

Injury Update:

Neck hurts
Right groin hurts
and of course the right shoulder hurts

Next class is Sat. I may or may not workout at home during the next 2 days, I will see how I feel.

Went to class and we did a lot more cardio and abs than we have done in a long time.

I trained 4 times at 5 minutes each and I am very very happy with endurance. My muscles did not tire out at all. I felt strong for each match. Good stuff.

Unfortunatley I got a couple submission attempts put on me that attacked each shoulder and on sunday I was in very bad shape and hurting.

Thank god I have some Arthrotec laying around, That alleviated the a lot of the pain.

Man the abwork they are having us do is killing me.

Anyway, only got to train 2 times. I trained with a 270lber and a 220lber. Im 155 lbs.

I had to use a lot more effort do to the size of these guys. I generally try not to use so much strength but I had no choice. I did tire a bit on towards the end of the second match but I think I held up pretty well considering.

I am starting to notice that my sweat is a bit more pungent these days. Not as much when I used the original Body Octane though.

Yeah the 270lber wasn't so bad, he is sort of new and actually weaker than I thought but I still had to try to move that mass around.

The 220lber was much more difficult, he is the brother of my instructor, a blue belt who would have been purple had he not stopped training. He still remembers a lot so he is no push over.

Day 18.

Had class last night. Training was tough. Besides the shoulder problem my groin is still hurting.

Th first 2 trains were with the instructors so of course it was very very difficult to say the least. My last train was with someone who I think Im even with on skill but he outweighs me by 50lbs and is a bit stronger so all three were tough. I hung in there physically but I wasnt into it mentally.

I may go to class to night but Im pretty much out of the BO. I may have half a scoop left. This may be the last class I have for a while.

My wife may have her water broken tomorrow to start her labor and I am scheduled for shoulder surgery on Oct 12th.

I have come to the realization I need to hit the weights and increase my strength so that is something Ill be looking to do once Im back.

Also got my lab results back and my test levels are not where they need to be. Need to change regimen with the Dr.

As for Body Octane. I really liked it. I believe it helped my endurance during training and my muscles did not fatigue as early as they usually do. The taste is amazing so there is no excuse to not drink it. I am not going to give it a rating as I think I just described how I think it helped.

No supplement works for everyone but if you are looking to increase endurance I say give this a try.
