Yet another low carb fat burning question, sorry dont hate me just wondering!
Can you still Burn fat and gain muscle doing low carb or carb cycling? Say if on your weight lifting days you did high carb, days off low carb, cardio days moderate carbs? Sound like an ok plan? I am limited to what i can do for cardio (injury) and lower body movements and want to limit fat gain while still gaining muscle.

My carbs vary from day to day. In a sense I carb cycle, but not intentionally. Just eat a clean diet with a mixture of protein, carbs and healthy fats. My cardio is my weight lifting. I take in about 1800-2000 cals daily.. regardless if I am lifting or not. I could probably raise that if I wanted to, but that's not my project at the moment. I aim for 5-6 days of clean eating, and I do pretty good with that.
It's a trial and error thing. You just have to experiment with your body and what works for you. I know that if I don't eat at least 1800 cals total ... I get agitated VERY easily, and had have no tolerance for anyone.

I am currently low-carbing it (CKD, you can check out the Keto subforum in the Nutrition forum if that means nothing to you lol), and losing fat.
I am doing one cardio session a week right now, and even that is optional at the moment. I use the elliptical most of the time bc I have some minor knee problems associated with running.
I think different kinds of carb manipulation diets make it possible for some people to lean out AND put on some muscle simultaneously, even while in a general caloric deficit, but I am not sure it works for everyone. I have put on *some* muscle recently while in a deficit (but I also took a loooooong time off from training, so was fairly detrained), but my CKD is rather new so I don't know if that will continue. Time will tell.
I've done carb cycling in the past -- it worked, but I hated it. I am more of an all or nothing kind of gal :). It works really well for a lot of people though.

Thanks for the replys! I think im going to have to just play around with it abit. I think the low carb/sorta carb cycling is my best bet. Because of my injury I was instantly cut back from my daily walking and activities even lower body at the gym so i have to reasses things untill i am able to get back on track thanks for the help!

mn, not an article. If you go to the main BB.com forum page, scroll down and you will see a "Nutrition" subforum. Inside the Nutrition forum, there is a "Keto" subforum.
Lots of low carbers in there, and some of them are very wise and experienced -- they give great advice.
