If you do drink milk, please tell me why.
Or, if you cut milk from your diet please tell me why too.
Or, if you don't drink milk at all, but you have an opinion about consuming milk during a contest prep then please give your opinion with as much technical detail as possible
Thanks!

well try to cut out all unnessecary sugars about 8 weeks out and although milk is slow digesting, its made entirely of sugar (which tends to flatten me out and retain some water). However, milk is still a great bodybuilding tool used in moderation and i drink about 2 cups of fat free mil a day in the offseason.

I'ver never drank that much milk, but use a lot of other dairy products.
I like to use the low carb "milks" before a contest. The ones made from milk, but with most of the lactose removed.
BUT:" be careful. Milk and they can have enough Na and K to affect salt intake unless you take them into account during your contest prep.
Not too hard to do if you read labels though.

Don't mean to knock milk, I don't drink much because:
1. never really liked the taste of plain milk
2. flavored milks have WAY too much sugar
3. I find it's too easy to drink my way to blowing a diet. Easy to drink a lot of calories, harder to eat them. One reason I limit my intake from liquids. Don't know if that realy makes sense, I find it's just easer to track what I'm taking in. Others probably disagree.

I cut out milk 8-10 weeks out. It tends to make me feel bloated, especially when low carb dieting, and it washes me out, leaving a thin layer of fat. In fact, I cut out all dairy 8-10 weeks out.

I drink over 1/2 gallon per day during the offseason. Historically speaking, I scale that back during the diet.

I used to drink 7 gallons a week.... then i added up my fat intake and had something like 200 grams a day so i limit it to about 5 glasses a day.

Only 8oz of milk has 12g of sugar....and nobody i know only drinks 8oz of milk...16-24oz is a usual glass for most so thats 24g-36g of sugar, about as much as a candy bar...cant have that excess sugar during comp prep!!
