hey ladies, my mom is 50 and shes wanting to get into a good program. i have been lifting for 7 years, and basically i know what i can do to get me big and healthy. but being that im 22 and my mother is 50 i am not sure how to go about setting a work out up for her. she wants to do cardio and light weights, what is something i can start her off with. thanks

Suprise her with 2-3 training sessions from the gym trainer- or introduce her to a weight training class that she can meet other women and enjoy for herself. There are usually many classes in the gym that will provide adaquate exercise and health benifits to a woman your moms age if her goals are to simply be healthy and fit. Glad to hear that a few kids out there are interested in their parents health!! Way to go. :)
