Guys, a fellow moderator lives in Beirut and he has been going through some tough times, especially during the past few weeks. He works for a big company and is located at the international airport. He was there during the bombings. This is a very tough time for many people in the middle-east as well as those battling for peace and justice. I hope the best for him and my prayers, and thoughts, are with him and his family.

The best goes out to him, and all his loved ones. We shall hope that he comes out of the fury unscathed.

don't know the guy but I still hope for the best.
To think in a week or so I'll be heading to israel to visit my family members who live in the northern half, so I kind of have an idea of what he may be goin through.

my family are originally from Lebanon.
it's a shame; it'd been rebuilt only a few decades ago and it was looking really good. very wealthy; lovely places to go to - it was nice.
now it's going to look like Iraq or Afghanistan.

violent f*cking swine.

my thoughts and prayers go out to this guy too.

Man, this is never ending. I just saw a few websites regarding what's going down and it's HORRIFIC! So much hostility, I can't ven imagine what it's like to grow up in some of these regions where Civil War happens every few years.

well hezbolla shouldn't be in control of southern lebanon at all.
but israel is using the kidnapping as an excuse to fix that problem.

as americans we really can't condemn them, especially after recent events ;)

All the more reason America needs to stop being so damned liberal about certain issues.

It's a tough call and I don't know what Bush will do. Hezbullah acts on its own and even if Lebanon wanted to do anything about it, they really can't. Lebanon, although democratic, has a pretty weak government.
Also Lebanon has a pretty significant Christian population there as well.
