Hi everyone!

New to the site and I have another L-glutamine thread! =)

I've started working out again and have also started taking L-glutamine. The suggested serving on the side of the bottle is "Required amount based on physical activity". Thanks... that helps me alot! =)

So after doing some searching on this site, I should probably be taking about 500 - 1000 mg/day. which would translate into 5 - 10 grams, correct?

So a rough calculation is 1 - 2 teaspoons of L-glutamine/day?

I know I am comparing weight to volume but I'd just like to get a rough idea if this is right.

Thanks!

500-1000mg equals 1/2 to 1 gram

I suggest 5 grams before and after a workout as a starting point; a case can be made for using more or less under certain circumstances.

Did the product come with a measuring scoop?

no measuring scoop... =(
hence the question.

i did find a rough conversion calculator online for weights of various cooking ingredients and found something similar to l-glutamine that I can use.

I should KNOW the mg to g conversion! I'm Canadian! =)
