I recently purchased a power rack and she has been doing squats, do any woman have any thoughts on working out while pregnant. She was never that much into working out before, but now she is getting into it. I just don't want her to over do it. Any thoughts from women who workout would be appreciatted.

Icebat, I trained most of my pregnancy. Only lightened up toward the end. I only had to push twice and my daughter poped out like a football! The Dr. was amazed. I was doing crunches with 35lb plate at 6 months. Had to stop with the plate but kept up the training. 6 weeks I was back to pre pregnancy weight. She may be freakin out watching her body change. We are taught that we must look good at all cost. Make sure you reassure her. She needs a ton of it right now. Good luck

The best advice for a pregnant woman is to keep doing what you have been doing, but don't even try to start something new at this time. Your center of gravity is off and your joints become softened. It is also a good idea to stay away from manuevers that involve intense straining or holding the breath, and also exercises in the prone position are not advised. Hope this helps some!

Congratulations to you both and good luck to her! I am also in my 3rd trimester!
Like stated above, no exercises that require her to be on her back...and take it a little easy. Like also stated--keeping super fit will make labor a breeze. I made the mistake the first time around of taking it easy and suffered the consequence!
It goes without saying, but extra water for her, and lots of (super healthy) food and snacks to maintain her blood sugar!

All of this is excellent but the high lighted part is definitely the most crucial part here!

Exactly...
And squats are an exercise that you start to drop at around this time as the centre of gravity is off... along with no more exercises lying on the back etc...
she only has another 3 months before baby arrives... so encourage her to remain fit within what her body allows... but not to start new stuff or heavy stuff...

Actually she could squat as the centre of gravity is right down through the middle, what she wouldn't be able to do is lunges.
That being said some pregnant mums find squatting uncomfortable, which then I'd said avoid them.
