I have been lifting for a little over 3 months now.

I'm 5'10' and weigh 170. I'm also 33 years old. I don't know what my BF is but I look plumpish. About 4 years ago I was 150lbs. Due to PCOS I started gaining weight.

To control some of the problems I have been put on Spironolactone 50mg (water pill) Avandia 4mg (to lower blood sugar now at 86) and yasmin. My doctor can not understand why I havn't started to drop weight. I have lost 6 lbs in 6 months, but that is it.
(I know that muscle weighs more than fat)

I completly changed my diet. I take No explode before workout, soy protien shake with banana and BCAA after work out. I drink water till lunch time. I usually have two eggs for lunch and maybe carrots or a few organic baked chips. Water, water water, and then a sensible dinner with veggies and meat.

My doctor said I can start taking sessamin and omega 3-6-9.

I am not hungry durring the day at all. (to busy working to get hungry)

I don't do cardio alot at the gym (need to start doing more) but I work out 4 days a week with my husband.

I have noticed that I am alot stronger. I don't play with the light weight either. If I am going to be there than I am going to LIFT. We really havn't noticed a difference in my body shape. HELP!!!!

I feel like I am never going to get enough of a body change to do atleast one competition. That is my goal.

I have kept a log of all the excersizes that I do and the doctors don't understand why I still have the weight and havn't shaped up that much.

P.S. I do the excersizes properly.

I would say you're not eating enough. You should start eating 6 meals spaced about 3 hours apart w/ lean protein, complex carbs and lots of fruits and veggies. You also need some good fats, like fish oil, nuts, or natural peanut butter. I would get rid of the chips. Is there a reason you're using soy protein instead of whey? Just some thoughts. Water is good!

I get up around 7:20 and I am at the Gym from 8 till 9:15. I usually drink my shake when I get home. I eat lunch at 12.

My problem is when I get in my next meal. My kids get home from school at 3. I still have to pick my daughter up from school. My kids are in so many activities that we try to squeeze in dinner either before or after the sport.

Tonight my kids have baseball at 6. Should I eat again at 3 and wait till 8 to eat or just eat at 4:30? My husband and I both coach.

As for the soy. I was told to use it for the estrogen benefits since I have PCOS. What would the difference between the soy and whey. I thought the soy would be more beneficial.

As for the oils, that is what I am taking the Omega 3-6-9 for. It is all the essential oils.

I also have to watch the carbs due to the PCOS and the raising of my blood sugar. I am not diabetic but need to keep the sugars down.

I've always been a fruit and veggie person, so that will not be a problem.

Don't you hate when people tell you, "YOUR EATING TO MUCH". The dietitian told my husband and I that we were eating way to much and that it should be 3 squares a day. I threw away all the stuff she gave him.

Good idea. 3 squares are not optimal. I would eat something before you work out, keep the shake after your workout, then eat again like 2 hours later. Then you just need a midafternoon meal, dinner, and something like cottage cheese before you go to bed. Whey is a very good, fast acting protein that will help to repair muscles. I'm not sure on the PCOS though, so maybe someone else can help you with that. Have you logged any of your information onto a program like fitday. com? It's very helpful to see how many calories you're really getting and what the ratios are.

twinnett,

I ate a granola bar this morning before workout. The No explode didn't upset my stomach and I felt much better. (didn't have time to make oatmeal.)

I used my husbands whey this morning instead of the soy.

I didn't really like fitday.com

I signed up and tried to use it. The big problem I see is logging in your supplements. I take OMEGA 3-6-9 and there wasn't a way to log in the oils that I am getting. It only asked to fill in some of the information in the pills but not all. I did realize that by dinner I had only taken in 650 calories, I had already worked it off. Not much left for my muscles!!!!
