I read the article but the part I would like some info on was the workout nutrition for the ectomorph/hardgainer here is what beast wrote.

Dextrose, dextrose, DEXTROSE! NO!!! I do not recommend dextrose to bodybuilders (except for some ectomorphs, aka hardgainers). The reasoning behind this is the large, rapid spike in insulin can lead to fat gain. As bodybuilders, we want to add muscle and loss fat. I do not think one should gain a large amount of fat for the sake of gaining muscle.

I am an ecto/hardgainer and everytime there is an article about building muscle, they never put the ecto/hardgainer into the picture. If you Beast or someone else would care to comment on the pre workout nutrition for the ecto, it would be much appreciated. I have tried both low gi and high gi carbs pre workout and hated the low gi because of the lack of energy compared to the high gi. Here is currently what I am using...

2 Hours Pre-workout
1 scoop whey protein
1 cup of oats
16 oz of skim milk

15 minutes pre-workout
1/2 scoop of whey isolate
20gs dex
20gs malto
And I drink half now and the half in the middle of my workout

Thanks for any advice

Looks good to me but I would eat the pre workout meal 1-1.5 hours pre workout. If ectomorph I recommend drinking dex during workout and then having low gi post. But thats just me.

When I saw ecto hardgainer, I mean the guy who has to eat 5000+ before even begining to gain weight.

If the GI of your preworkout meal has that large of an effect on your training level, you need to evaluate your entire diet.

It is not just the preworkout meal that fuels your workout, it is also the many meals leading into the workout.

So have you guys (SCIVATION) been documenting guys reults and tranformations?

I gotta give you guys props, because after doing somethings you guys recommend (i.e. wpi+bcaa during workout, cardio postworkout, no dextrose)
I've seen bodyfat loss while gaining LBM. And my recovery is better than ever. Alotta folks said doing cardio after a workout would interfere with muscle gains, they must've lied. Now that I do cardio pwo, I see all the massive dudes at the gym doing cardio right after the weights.

People send us their results/transformations sometimes and we have some on file, but we are always looking for more feedback.
