Tarpon fishing in Key West

Been to Key West back in 98-00 I jumped quite a few but only boated one......around 100lbs.......What an adreneline rush having one of those bad boys hooked....

Can't wait to go back but finances are tight for a bit so I just have the memories......

Anybody else fish for them?
Any Bone fish or Permit?

We hooked one tuesday on fly.......didn't land him though. 8 wt line with an 8 lb tippet. we get them seasonally around the gulf coast.

40-60...you occasionally run across some big ones.....these come from the louisiana massh though.
