Okay, today is the first day of workingout/eating healthy. I knoooooooow I've said this like 1,000,000,000 times before BUT this time I'm totally serious! I wanna start getting my body as close to perfect before summer even starts so it wont be such a pain to start working out again. I only have two weeks until summer!! and I'm so serious about staying on this working out thing. I just looked at my goal sheet (for workingout) and I realized I made that sheet last summer, and none of my goals have been accomplished and it make me feel motivated to make it happen this summer. One of the reasons I stopped working out and eating right is because I'm sooo lazy! My dad asked me which spice girl i would be (random huh lol) and i said lazy spice :-p...its true its true...so this time im gonna get serious!!

any advice?

That made me giggle.

Now to the thread-starter:

Unfortunately working out is not a "thing" it's a real life-long commitment to being healthy and fit, ready to fight anything that comes your way. In the words of Pantene:

It won't happen overnight but it will happen! (with the right attitude and right advice). Good luck on your quest and remember to update us on your progress.

hey girl...
in your thread you stated that you wnated the perfect body..but do you know what the perfect body is and do you have pictures of what you wnat to achieve..but in all honesty most pictures you see of celebrities on cover magazines and what not have got perefct lighting and have been airbrushed to the max. plus their job is to look good and they have all the time in the world do it. You are still at school, so give yourself a break!

Just saying you wnat theperfect body is unobtaineable and you will become extremely demotovated.. make your targets high, but attainable. Have an idea of the stages that you wnat your body to go through, cos you will not just wake up after 3 months and have Demi moore's body, you will go through all the stages. TRy taking a photo of yourself as the starting point so that you can clearly identify your progress this will keep you motivated, cos when you think that you haven't changed your body, you willl hav eth eveidence right there in front of you.

Well it seems like you really are keen to do this and you have a good mind set, which will be what you need when you are tired and bored and start consdering abouttucking into a Big Macor something. To get the results that i think you want, you are gonna have to really dediacte yourself to your diet and exercise.
Also the biggets mistake taht girls make is that to loose fat yolu need to be a slave to the cardio machines. Ook fair enough cardio does burn fat and calories, but the best and fastet way to looseit is to lift weights, cardio will tone you up to an extent but wieghts are the daddy, you tone up faster, get definition and if your using large muslce groups you burn hundreds or calories which continue to burn all trough the dya if you work hard enough. Lifting heavy weights Say 6-12 reps will not make you huge like arnold swarzeneger, i promise

For months i spent ages on the treadmill and so on and only when i started doing weights did i get the results i wanted, nit is so amazing to se eyour body change. From a skinny fat girl (i hope you know what i mean) to a solid, athletic defined shape. I still do my cardio, 20-30 mins after each weights session, BUt important notice always do your cardio after your weight, otherwise you won;t be able to lift anything and you will just been burniung away the muscle tissues.#

Also last thing.... 80% of getting yourdream body is built in the kitchen, food and diet is so important, please dn;t starve yourself,i eat untilll the cows come home, but i don;t eat crap, plenty of fish, salad, and simplle fods..ALL CLEAN! And drink loads of water.. You can't exercise properly without fuel, if don't eat your body will just hold onto the fat because its not sure when its next meal is coming so it stores it as a survival mechanism, keep you rmetabolism going by eating (5-6)small clean meals throughout the day. this keeps your body burning fat and your metobolism high, the longer you can kep your metabolism awake, the more fat you will burn, so eat breakfast,it is the most important meal of the day, Try porridge or bran flake or a good museli with a bannana

Anyway, sorry this is so long winded, but i thought that i would share becaus e i know where you are at right now. Wish you all the best of luck in your venture for perfection. if you wnat any further help, just message me and i will reply.

Fingers crossed

G all the way from england

All I gotta say is...Wait till all you youngins are over 35.
That's when you'll look at your bods and think back to this point in your life and wish you looked like you did @ 18!

When you're 35, like me, the body of an 18 year old is simply unattainable.
Enjoy your young, firm, cellulite free bodies while you have them!!
As they say, you don't know what you've got, till it's gone.

You CAN have a youthful body.. for examples, look at the picture thread in the over 35 forum :)

All I can say is that make sure you have taken pics before because I have lost 50lbs so far and I have no before pics and its upsetting. When I get down and out I wish I had those pics to look at. Eat clean and healthy avoid temptation and if you think your in a situation that you wouldn't beable to say no then don't put yourself in the situation to begin with. Remember occasional treats and rewards are okay as long as they are not everyday all day. Good luck. Don't get frustrated.
