Hey, anyone ever been? I just turned 18 and would really like to give it a shot. Can anyone tell me what to expect or share some experiences?

Been once. My friend was a big time skydiver. He took photos and videos. He just recently had a botched landing and broke about everyone of his leg bones and a few others. He's back to walking regular now but doubt he will ever run right again. He openly admits he made a mistake and was trying a much smaller chute than he could handle.

Having said that... I loved it. Absolutely worth the 200$ you're going to pay. Free fall is sweet, so go tandem so you get a bit more free fall time. Tip your instructor and maybe opt for the video if you have the cash. Awesome time.

Ive done it. The scariest part is the first few seconds where you roll before you get clear of the plain than open your arms. It is scarier than a theme park ride because you have nothing to hold onto you feel helpless, freefall with your arms,legs wide is great, the wind blows your mouth open with that big forced smile. Make sure you lift your legs up high when you land on your ass. not your feet
