Very nice.

It figures I would want the most expensive one:

I've always had expensive tastes, ah if only I had the resources to acquire this beauty.

Yeah, he makes nice rifles, and he's a great guy.

But it doesn't deserve it's own thread.;)

I like the fact that he won't sell any of his product to any government bureau in the state of Kalifornia...

I thought about getting one, but for the cost, I can do a lot of other shooting. I may get an M99 at some point, but probably not any time soon. I have to drive an hour and a half at least to find a place to shoot it. Would be nice to get one, sight it in, work up a good load, and put it away for a rainy day.

I have some friends with .50s and they're a blast to shoot, especially if you have tracers. You can squeeze the trigger, then raise your head from the rifle and, with the naked eye, watch the last couple hundred yards of the bullet path to impact.

I'd like to buy one, but not for every day shooting.

...and only if I can buy SLAP and Ralfus rounds for it. :D

The thought of either of those type of rounds getting into the hands of Terrorists over here scares the hell out of me but yeah it would be fun to go out with a bunch of guys and let them shoot and old clothes washer with what ever they were packing before you step up.

One of these days I'm gonna have to try to load some SLAP for my .308. That stuff gives me wood.

Only thing is, the Sabot of a SLAP round will get all snarfed up in the muzzlebrake of most .50 cal rifles.

Barretts are nice and all, but I prefer the Robar RC-50. Or the Armalite AR-50.

People fire sabots out of Barretts all the time, I wouldn't worry about it.

I've a friend who has one. Its extremely heavy, extremely loud and you have to be careful in which direction you fire in it because the bullet goes for miles.

On the other hand, if I ever need to take out an armored vehicle I know who to call :D.

They're the most well-known .50 BMG rifle. And liberal asshats hate them.

.50 BMG is an anti-material round, light vehicles and whatnot, but it makes Mujis pop nicely too.

Yeah, and the owner of the company is a great guy which is why if I ever bought a .50 it would be a barret

.50 BMG is a very large caliber.

Liberals hate them because they *think* they can be used to shoot down airplanes, and because they look evil.

.50 BMG rifles could not be used to shoot down an airplane.

Even if they could, I still wouldn't worry. Terrorists are horrible shots. They do much better with simple things, like suicide bombings and flying planes into buildings. Nice and idiotproof.

Yeah, it's hard enough to hit a stationary target at long range, then figure this thing is moving at speeds you can't practice for(and many aircraft at different speeds), and the range is very hard to determine even with a laser rangefinder because of the speed. It's almost impossible to hit the thing, and if you did, the odds of actually hitting something important are practically non-existant. In the off chance someone got a lucky shot, you'd just have two holes in an airplane, which is nothing.

I don't know why anyone even worries about it, it's not like terrorists want to work from long range, they're perfectly happy to shove some C4 up their bum and run out onto the runway.
