not bad but why are you restricting carbs the day before. i do a similar protocol for carb depletion and load while i hear most carb load the day before only. make sure to switch to distilled water when you start limiting water intake and take some kind of diuretic (make sure to supplement with K). before going onstage, spray some hot stuff to bing out vascularity better. i slap my skin seconds before going onstage as i find this helps with vascularity also. ive heard peanut butter can make you look harder and i do have some PB with M&M's beforehand. cant really comment on the affects though. do a lot of posing before going out so your muscles are harder. thats all i got for now.

thanks for your comments
I train the upperbody on M,T,W,.......fast and light with lots of reps......followed by 30 minutes walking on an inclined treadmil.
This greatly aids in depletion......I do zero carbs also and increase water and salt intake .
On Th,F,Sat, no weights,no cardio,no sodium........you want to conserve energy, and increase gucose and glycogen stores.
Stop training legs 7-10 days out also!!
Cut water Friday night, eat a light protein and complex carb meal early in the AM on Sat.,and ingest some simple carbs 30 minutes or so before pumping up.
Some sodium is good at this time also.
I hope some of this helps !!
Good luck in your contest!!

Ever notice that after a leg workout you lose your lines? It takes about 7-10 days to get them back, so thats why you need to do your last leg workout the week before the show. When youre doing your carb depletion workout, just do your upper body- and make sure that you keep doing rep after rep until you cant lift anymore. The whole purpose of doing a carb depletion workout and decreasing your carbohydrate intake is so that when you carb load your muscles are able to hold more glycogen than previous.
Bodybuilding.com has some great pre-contest articles you should read.
Personally, Id stay away from wine and get yourself a diuretic. Take it Fri at 6pm and cut your water 3 hours after that. If you have access to them, you can take more than one- Id start with one at 3pm Fri afternoon then one at 7pm and then assess your physique. Then no water all night or all day Sat. Make sure to have peanut butter and jam, rice cakes, cashews (salt free), protein and the carb that you have been dieting with all season with you on the day of the competition.
Ive stepped on stage without having eaten enough and became hypoglycemic while posing (low blood sugar)- so I started shaking and sweating- no good for ProTan! Just make sure that you have some sweets with you (Snickers bar works great) to eat before you go on stage.
Let me know if this helps... precontest is probably the most important thing- if you dont know what youre doing you can step on stage looking flat (muscles not close enough to the skin) which translates into LOOKING like you have a layer of bodyfat when really its just water. If you need more help PLEASE ask :)

my legs look better the day after a leg workout and it certainly does not take 7-10 days to get your 'lines' back

After working out my legs I "lose lines" b/c I can't flex them as hard since they hurt like hell.
However, after recovering a couple of days- The "lines" are back b/c I can flex hard- pain free. The lines are never lost if you've never had them in the first place!
