View Full Version : right arm bigger than left arm!!!
My right arm is quite a bit bigger than my left arm. But when i do like dumbell curls and stuff my left arm can usually do a few more reps than my right arm. I am right handed. My arms look the same when im relaxed but when i flex in front of a mirror my right arm is just plain bigger. Should i do more single handed stuff with tri's and bi's? i only do two bicep lifts and about 3-4 tri's. Would doing an extra set with my left arm help any?? Any solutions will be appreciated. thanks

i had the same problem for a long time. i found out what works is to lift with your smaller arm first.
example
my left arm is weaker and smaller so if i were to do alternating dumbbell curls i'll start with my left arm, and if i only can do 8 with that arm i will only go so far with the other arm ,that way you bigger arm wont get in any extra reps and wont make you cheat wwith your weaker arm.
goodluck

Correct,if you can do 10 reps with your left and 20 with your right ,don't do the 10-20 range with right.Try to even up your left to your right.

yep that's a good tip- start off with the left first
another thing to keep in mind is to NOT isolate the left(weaker side). don't do anymore/less sets, reps, weights with the weaker side than the stronger. I used to be horribly uneven(over an inch difference), and it didn't help when i tried to even it out via focusing on the left. rather, i just lifted normally and forgot about it, and slowly over time it evened out.
besides the above advice(start off witht he left first on single movements like db curls), just forget about it. in time they'll even out, guaranteed
