Hey fellow female bodybuilders! Amy here! Well, I'm new to this board and I have been checking every once in awhile and reading the posts and have seen some new posts, some very informative. I really am into Healthy living, vitamins, supplements, natural cures, body building, eating healthy, you name it! I'm a fitness finatic LOL Anyways, I started bodybuilding with my boyfriend when I was 20 yrs old, I probably lifted at least a good 6 months and than I got pregnant with our first child. Anyways I stopped lifting and started up again after I had her and lifted serious for at least 9 months. Than I stopped lifting and had gotten pregnant with our second child and after him I didn't lift too serious, just on and off and moderate intensity, than surprise we had a third and to make a long story short, I started lifting again about 3 months ago but I was dieting and losing weight pretty fast since I tend to gain alot in my pregnancies so I wasn't getting much for strength gains! But I lose it pretty good because I have always been pretty lean. Anyways now I'm at a more comfortable weight and I'm done having children and so I want to get into some serious bodybuilding and just see what kind of results I can get. I'd like to lift real serious for at least a year just so that I can have a solid year under my belt and see what I have to offer for bodybuilding. I have at least 20 more lbs to lose and I'd like to lose fat and gain a little muscle at the same time. My legs are very strong and so are my calves but I lag behind in my upper body, well my biceps are not too bad. I am just so happy I'm done having children so that I can lift seriously without interuption, my husband has been lifting through my pregnancies so he is ahead of me. It's been 6 years later since I started so don't get me wrong I love my children and I'm so glad to have them but bodybuilding gives me time for myself too!
I'm using the anabolic diet but only one carb day per week. I am taking some of MsFit's ideas and also some of my own that I used before but I think she is correct that the body needs constant change so that it doesn't adapt. I cycle my calories based around 1500 calories per day, I'm cycling my fat burner, I train one body part per day, 45 min per day to failure and I'm doing 30 min of cardio cycling the intensity, 4 times a week, is this enough, should I see results??? I've been doing good for the last 3 days since I started this new serious routine as I have a fitness diary log now on my fridge. I've been stuck at this weight for a month because I was eating too little so I am enthusiastic about seeing results, I'd like to lose the excess weight in my lower body and gain some muscle in my upper body and tone my abs and build up my lower back once again as pregnancies took their toll but I'm coming back and I want to actually getting strong again.
attached are my 3 little gems!
