Yes it's a lot of fun as is snorkeling. You're Australian right? You've got some of the best underwater entertaiment in the world.

Incredible experience man. I've been doing it for a number of years and have dived some amazing sites. It's not only the diving makes it good, but the places you travel to do it make it even more fun.

it is amazing...i could probably write a novel about it...

i got certified in NSW and then took a trip up to Cairns for spring break....spent two days and one night aboard the atlantic clipper (anyone else done this?) where i got 6 dives(i think) and one snorkel....it is something i will never forget

I think it is a great combination of beauty and adventure. You can always challenge yourself. Very enjoyable experiance.

i went scuba diving today, fukin cool man, im gonna take a diving course and buy me a set up

its really fun,my dad got me in a class last year for my certification... bought me a setup.. its great! but until you know if you like it enough..just rent equip. it gets expencive.

It's a wonderful experience. I got my PADI Open Water Diver in Jan. and was planning to get the Advanced this spring break, but it was a massacare of midterms and conferences before the break so I couldn't plan the trip, nor pay for it actually.

So, I think I'm gonna do it in June before the summer session begins and settle for the beach for now.

I just finished my open water diver course last month for my senior project. DO IT! It opens up a whole new world to you... not to mention the stuff you can find in rivers and places where people like to cliff dive or jump off of bridges. I've found watches, jewlery, money, and lots of cool things.
