View Full Version : What's in a name? (What's the story behind your user name?)
Okay, it's Sunday and the forum seems to have been a bit slow this past week so I thought this might be mildly interesting: What does your screen name mean, or how did you choose it?
Yeah, I know some appear to be obvious....such as Fitnessman, Nucleararms etc., but there's probably some story even behind those. I see a name of a member like Eddied27 and wonder if it's Ed died 27, or Eddie D 27 and stuff like that. I'm sure there are many misconceptions of what the names mean among us.
Okay, so I'll go first: dbx has nothing to do with BB'ing. In other words, it isn't dumbbell X or something. When first getting an e-mail account (I can't even remember.....90' perhaps) I didn't want to be identified as a gender so I could avoid what was then "under control" junk/spam e-mail. I used to be an audiophile, and while looking around the room I noticed my stereo equipment which contained (still does) dbx processors. For those who may not know, dbx patented a noise reduction system that many audiophiles considered superior to Dolby at the time. Primarily, dbx is professional/hi-line audio processing equipment. Done.
Your turn.

Hmm, jynxlynx.
Well. I got the jynx part because when I arrived at my first duty station and started going temp duty with my jet, I was a poor mechanic, couldn't fix things, and the jet for some reason always seemed to break "on the road" hence, he considered me a "jinx"
Lynx. Well, I don't know, but it does rhyme with jinx and thought it sounded neat.
I've used this screenname on all my accounts and e-mails. Lately I've been thinking of changing it to either "Barely Legal" (Tail# 0018) or "Fill'r up!" (Tail# 8002) named after the two jets I was made dedicated crewchief of during my time in the Air Force.
Too bad the Air Force doesn't allow nose art anymore. Imagine the Vargas Girls on them planes! :)

There's a couple of reasons for mine:
1. from my ability (or obsession) with being the first in the door at the gym back at Bragg at 5:00 a.m. when they opened;
2. I'm a jumpmaster, so I get in the door first;
3. CQB (close quarter battle) stuff...I was #1 guy in the stack a lot when I went through the training;
4. I used to have a serious obsession with being the first one in the team room everyday. One of my earlier team sgts used to get upset if I beat him in (seemed he had the same obsession)...we kept trying to outdo the other until we called a truce...around 4:00 a.m. one morning (we didn't have to be there until 6:30!)

plugugly
04-03-2006, 06:32 AM
Plugugly~ I am a professional firefighter and have been for over 21 years. This term Plugugly refers to the early days of the fire service in this country where there were no actual fire departments as you know them now. Insurance companies actually formed small fire companies and firefighting was a "for profit" venture unlike today where it is normally a municipal, civil service job. You would have more than one of these companies in one geographical area so each fire was up for grabs to the company that could get there first. As you can imagine, there was fierce competition and lots of fist fighting! Each company had at least one guy who was referred to as the "Plugugly". In laymans terms he was their hatchet man, thug, or like a goon in Hockey. He was normally the biggest, strongest guy on the company and best be good with has hands if you know what I mean. When a fire was reported, he would go first and go directly to the nearest "Plug" near the fire. [A plug is what is now known as a Fire Hydrant. Back then, they had wooden water lines running under the street and at corners would have wooden plugs that would plug holes made for fire departments to get water for their horse-driven steamers or carts.] The Plugugly would find the nearest plug and guard it until his company got there to fight the fire. He would also ensure than no other company got there and stole this hydrant before his company arrived. As you can imagine, other companies had plugugly's also and the would throw down with each other over the plug. Picture this...two fire companies beating the living crap out of each other while a building burnt to the ground. Unfortunately this is what would often happen...and is also why regular municipal fire companies were formed and the profit taken out of the equation. This is just a small insight into the early years of this country's fire service and why I refer to myself as "Plugugly". Next!

04-03-2006, 07:56 AM
When I first started bodybuilding the "Most Muscular" pose was my least favorite pose to do because I used to try and do the old "crab type most muscular" which I didn't think was very flattering... I would end up showing wrinkles of skin on my lower stomach area when I leaned over.
I then began standing more upright and just flexing all of my muscles with my hands in front of my lower abs to hide any left over skin from dieting... and since then it has become my "signature" pose showing off all my muscularity... thus I have become "Most Muscular"...

Well, I use the "totem animal" explanation to make it more palatable to the gentiles, Greenie. Spirit Animal or Spirit Guide is a more apt label, as you well know, but it sometimes turns people's brains off when they hear it. Something that might interest you, Rob, this Shaman (Spirit Eagle, pretty reknowned amongst the Lakota Sioux) was pretty excited about our meeting. Here's the story in full because I know you might appreciate it:
Way back in the day, when I was a high school junior, the local Shoshone-Bannock, Sioux, and Blackfeet tribes held a Native American Fair at my school. It was an amazing affair they had put together, and being very interested in things American Indian it was natural that I attended. They set up on our school football field of all places, which was an interesting contrast to say the least. Amongst the wig-wams they had dancing, crafts of all kinds going on, storytelling, samplings of traditional Native American food (mmm...pemmican..mmm), and tons of information on the history of the tribes.
So here I am, this sixteen year old kid, walking around this spectacle with my friends. We're checking out all the offerings and taking it all in, and it's incredibly fascinating. As we're walking past one of the wig-wams, this reaaaaalllly old guy grabs ahold of my arm and just clings on. I mean, this guy looks older than dirt! He's got all these beads and amulets and things on, and looks right out of a movie or something. He's incredibly excited and is talking a million miles an hour, his eyes as wide as can be. The only problem is that he doesn't speak a word of English. Imagine if you will, a freaked out sixteen year old kid with an ancient old Indian clinging to him, both of them wild-eyed for very different reasons while the crowd around them watches in morbid fascination, wondering what's going to happen. They probably thought I'd tried to steal something from the old man or something. And, my friends did nothing but watch. Bastards!!!! :) Suddently, out of nowhere, this old woman appears. She looks older than dirt, herself! She's also dressed in traditional garb, but she speaks English whereas the old man did not. She goes on to tell me that this old guy is her father, and that he is a very well-known and respected Shaman amongst his people. The Lakota Sioux people. She also tells me that one of his particular talents is seeing people's spirit animals. She talks to her father in their native tongue, none of it understandable to me or my friends, and then begins to translate for him. Through his daughter, this Shaman, whose name was Spirit Eagle, told me that he was so excited because he saw in me the spirit of the jaguar. The reason this excited him so much was because "jaguar people" are extremely rare in North America. Like the big cats themselves, most of them have migrated south to Mexico and South America. He told me that he was doubly excited, because most people have a kinship with one counterpart animal in the species that is their totem. That is, there is an animal out there somewhere that they share a bond with. Sort of like animal soul mates or something. But, there are some people who share a kinship with an entire species, not just one animal. These people are very rare, apparently. He was excited because not only did I have the jaguar for a spirit animal, but I had a kinship with the entire species which was even more rare.
It was a strange experience to me, but also empowering on some level. I couldn't help but find it, at the very least, flattering and special. Something that set me apart from others. In college, when I first got into computers and the internet, I took on the moniker of "jaguar" as my online nick. That quickly evolved into "jaguarr", the second "r" added to distinguish my nick from the other folks who were using "jaguar" as their online nick.
Ever since that initial experience, I've learned a little about Shamanism and my particular Spirit Animal. I was really quite surprised with how much I identify with what the jaguar is and the power he possesses as well as what he stands for in Shaman lore. Equally as fascinating is the role that the jaguar played in the Mayan, Aztec and Toltec's spiritualism and beliefs, and I've tried to learn more about that the last few years.
So, that's the FULL story. :)

A Visit to the Farm
A teacher decides to take her fourth grade class on a field trip to a local farm.
When they arrive, their first stop is the barn, where all the farmer's tools are stored.
The first tool the teacher picks up, is the pitch fork. She asks her class, if anyone knew the name of the tool she was holding.
Mary quickly blurts out, "That's a Pitch Fork, Ms. Jones".
"Very good Mary", says the teacher.
The teacher then picks up another tool and asks it anyone knew it's name.
Billy promptly answers, "That's a Sickle".
"Very good Billy", says the teacher.
She picks up a third tool, but this time no one could name it. The teacher proudly explains to her class, that the tool was called a Hoe.
Without warning Ernie yells out, "My sister's a Ho and she don't look like that".

I just read your explanation jag, very interesting story. The people in this forum, I think, are interested in all that is spiritual . We may pray at a different altar, but we're all looking for the same thing in the end. A Crow friend of mine says that when asked what religion is, he checks all. My friend Crowhorse is wise beyond his 48 winters.

Hey-Iwas51
04-04-2006, 07:51 PM
I was not sure what it was about, and just didn't click till tonight...
OK, I have told this before, but my name actually was given me by my kids... (The three sons that is, 24, 21, and 18 now). Back when I was poking around on different forums thinking about signing up on one, they were all sitting around laughing about their Dad having a six pack someday, and one said I should take the handle "Hey I'm xxx" after the original BowFlex guy who said, "hey, I'm 42 and in the best shape of my life..." So, I took "Hey-I'm51", cause that is how old I was then...
Well, a couple months back, the board started using some new software, which was not happy with the apostrophe in my name, so they assigned me Hey-im51, which I didn't like, especially because I am now 52. So, I got the boss man to change it for me, to "was51". Kind of screwy I know, but it's easier to type without the apostrophe anyway! (and it's close enough to the original that people would recognize me.)
By the way, by the grace of God, I AM in the best shape of my life... not the 6% body fat like the BowFlex guy (yet), but better than I have ever been! Thanks to a lot of folks around here for that...

No offense to the Chinese, but........that's not it at all.

mine is because i have always wanted to be a body builder. I remember as a kid watching my first bb competition on tv. This would have been in the late 70's. It was at my aunt's house and she made me turn it off. She was in disgust. "That stuff is gross. It's unnatural. You have no business watching that." As a kid, I was devastated..but I kept the desire to be a bb'er. Focus changed in hs and college..and now my focus is back to bb'ing..

Mine's from a character on a TV comedy sketch show called Little Britain. There's a character called Vicky Pollard played by a guy dressed as a young teenage girl, who is thoroughly obnoxious and rants on and on when cornered about something bad that she's done. Whatever the ranting excuse is, she often ends it with '..... or something or nothin'.
Sound rubbish when I describe it - guess you have to hear it!

So not too exciting but I'm still called lilbootch to this day by the group of guys we grew up with.

Nagalfar
03-06-2007, 07:34 AM
Nagalfar was a Old Norse belief, in the world of Valhalla, the Nagalfar was a ship that sailed though the heavens stealing souls of dead Norse warriors .. the ship was built from the fingernails of the dead warriors who entered into Valhalla with their fingernails still attached.. that is why the Norse would cut the finger nails off before the dead were buried so that the Nagalfar couldn't grow larger thus allowing for the gathering of even more souls...

slackdaddy
03-06-2007, 09:41 AM
I work on an assembly where we are divided into work teams. If you get behind, it gets the next person behind. If someone does get behind, we help them out by hurling insults at them like Slacka$$, Slacker, Slackdaddy, Slackaroo, Slackaroony and so forth. Although none of us are actually slackers, we call each other by slacker names even when not working.
I was having a hard time coming up with a name on another forum when I remembered Slackdaddy. Remarkably, at every forum I've been to Slackdaddy is available.
I'm sure that my name puts my credability on a fitness site in the crapper though. Would you rather get avice by someone named Slackdaddy or Big Ripped Hulking Pimp?

bbbom
03-06-2007, 11:08 AM
My screen name was given to me by a guy at work when I first started working at my current job - 9 years ago. He overheard a discussion I was having with someone on the phone concerning an insane neighbor that was causing major problems with the road to my house on the mountain. So he stopped by to tease me about it. I told him I thought I might just have to go down to the county building dept and kick some ass.
That has been a favorite saying of mine ever since my boss here informed me that when I first interviewed for the job, the CFO walked into his office and said "your interviewee is here and she could kick your ass." I'm 5'9" and they are both 5'5" or so and after being in sports all of my life and heavy highway construction for the past 8 years at that time I was not easily intimidated and carried myself with confidence.
So my coworker laughed at my comment and said "Well I guess that would make you the Big Bad Blonde on the Mountain!" I liked it so when I joined my first online forum group Extreme Dirtbikes which is now defunct, I signed up as bbbom - Big Bad Blonde on the Mountain, or Motorcycle, depending on what I feel like.

I've been Lar-Dog ever since.

Storm is a variation of the spelling of one of my favorite characters from a book series. He was always charging ahead and doing the right thing (even if it made him unpopular) -I envied his conviction.
442, well I've owned like three of them since high school, was always my favorite car, not a common as a Chevelle or Nova or Camaro or Mustang. I sold them all a few years back, but may pick one up in the future to relive my wild years!

My name has dual meaning:
1) I used to sign my name at the end of e-mails as -j. My friend told me I needed to be more confident in myself and I was "worthy" of a Capital J. ;)
2) I'm working on my MBA and some of the other students used to call me "Cap" (short for capital) because I argued with them that the most important thing when starting a business was capital (money & hard workers) and not necessarily the business plan.

Mine is really spelled Ex nihilo
Ex nihilo is a Latin term meaning "out of nothing". It is often used in conjunction with the term creation, as in creatio ex nihilo, meaning "creation out of nothing".
I started using it at about 23 years old..After having a difficult life growing up than going to prison...When I got out of prison I wanted to get my life right and be a better person..So I moved to a new area and started all over..Hence created out of nothing...

Brother Steel
03-07-2007, 10:07 AM
Hi,
I got Brother Steel from Dave Draper's book Brother Iron and Sister Steel.
I had just read the book and was very impressed by Mr. Draper's wisdom and insight into bodybuilding and keeping fit.
But as great an Icon in bodybuilding as he is it's his hard earned wisdom about living life that makes him great. When you read his words you lose touch with the writing on the page and somehow find that you are sitting face to face with Dave as he shares his secrets with you because you are his special friend.
Dave's wisdom can be summed up as follows. We are all brothers and sisters using the tools of iron and steel to change our lives. Not only are we making our bodies strong but more importantly we are strengthening our mind and spirit for the challenges in life.
And now you know the rest of the story,
Brother Steel

Well as long as I can remember I've been a Superman fan. At six jumped off the shed roof with a bath towel for a cape and fully expected to fly. Dang gravity!
About the time I started BB again, my youngest son and I bought a Superman shirt and cap. I started wearing the cap to the gym and all the gym rats started yelling "Hey Superman" to get my attention. All at once people started giving me more caps, shirts, tanks, Jammie's, toys, you name it if it said superman someone gave it to me.
I did my first competition routine with a Superman cap on cause my daughter did the routine and convinced me to wear it. Some of the guys at the show started calling me "Old Superman."
Well, that's how it all started and now it just is!

Done.
Your turn.
See my attachment ;)
That gear still works :)
Mine obviously means that it's never too late to get back into health and vitality once again . . . as the attached pic shows:
That is an awesome transformation. VERY inspiring
Greenfeather was a name given to me by a Juanaco cheiftain in South America. He told us me that " You move like the feathers of the green bird", meaning the Amazon parrots which are all but invisible in the jungle canopy. My guys started calling me Greenfeather and I use it on some boards, here and my Ranger forums.
Very cool
My screen name is pretty self explanatory. ;)

Cool. Their venture into mainstream audio products was fairly short lived, and they just stuck to higher-end audio. Here is a pic of my main audio system that is in my "theater" room. This system is not my A/V system, but rather it's dedicated solely to audio. On the left of the in-wall rack, you can barely make out two dedicated dbx pieces. This side wall is rather "busy" looking since it also has a 25" monitor for outdoor surveillance cameras, pictures, and in in-wall center-side speaker which is part of the 7.1 surround system:

It's a bit hard to make out from the image but it looks like those dbx units are a NR unit and a sub harmonic processor. Might be way off the mark though!!

It's a bit hard to make out from the image but it looks like those dbx units are a NR unit and a sub harmonic processor. Might be way off the mark though!!
Thanks. That's the second time I had to cut out a wall for that same gear :). And I actually modified the enclosure twice because of minor equipment changes. I removed a Carver M1.5 350W Amp (my pre-amp is dual) and another piece a few years back. I blew the channels on a Carver 2000 rcvr that was in my bedroom, and needed the amp to drive it.
The dbx pieces are actually just a simple 200-XG switch selector, and a 1BX-DS dynamic expander/compressor. I had a 3BX, but sold it many years back. Anyway, they are not in the league of the pieces you have for your recording gear.

My problem is that I recorded all kinds of $hit on cassette using DBX...need I say more. My TEAK tape deck needs a new motor, so I can't even play any of the tapes I have. LOL

I was wondering if that was the reference!
Now that you mention it, you have jogged my memory... yes, I had one of those gadgets too, back when I could afford a decent sound system. Seems like I opted not to record with DBX though, because it was the only system I had with that feature.

Done.
Your turn.
WOW!!! How in the world did I miss this thread? I must have been snoozing that Sunday you started this thread dbx! :D
I really wish I could give a more exciting answer to the name but I can't. I actually wanted to enroll as eddied22 but I had a brain fart and put 27 instead. Eddie (actually Edgar as Hibby got out of me recently) is my first name (duh! ), D is my last initial and 22 is my lucky number, the date of my b'day and the number I wore on uniforms for baseball, basketball as a kid and softball teams when I got older......double deuce! :D I kept the 27 because, at the time I enrolled, it just happened to be my address #.
I told you it wasn't that fascinating of a story but that's what it means nonetheless.
Take care.....Ed

I always wanted a 3bx in the 80's. I thought they were SOOOOO cool  and they were! :)
Vey nice setup!
My problem is that I recorded all kinds of $hit on cassette using DBX...need I say more. My TEAK tape deck needs a new motor, so I can't even play any of the tapes I have. LOL
Most of my dbx recordings were done on a TEAC cassette deck too. Mine has a motor from a high speed dubbing deck (one of my mods) so I could do high speed recordings for extended frequency response. I put a switch on the back of it to select between normal and high speed and this also adjusted the bias and equalisation when high speed was selected. I mainly used high speed recording for my own music.
HERE (http://musclefemme.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=37&d=1133759279) is a picture of my TEAC deck. It is a V450X.
The motors are actually quite easy to replace and any generic cassette motor will typically work as long as they spin the same direction!!
I feel your pain. I also recorded numerous cassettes using the compression of the 1BX, which was superb for playback in a car. I've had dbx stuff since 87'. I threw out all my cassettes many years ago. Still have my albums though (a little over 400) :).
Argh! I HAD many albums on vinyl until I got caught up with some over the top born agains who convinced me that it was all devils music so I destroyed most of them!! One album I am still really spewing about was my limited edition pink vinyl, SQ encoded version of Dark Side of the Moon.....I had only played it ONCE and that was to record it onto high speed cassette so it was in MINT condition....argh!!!!
Aquilius
03-09-2007, 02:02 AM
Aquilius = mutilated medieval latin for "Eagle", which is the heraldic emblem I use for one of my medieval representations (the early 13th century knight).
The white lion on red ground in my avatar is the heraldic emblem of the chivalric society that figure is a member of; the personal one is a golden legless eagle on blue ground.
I portray several other figures (late 14th century earl, late 14th century coustilier, late 15th century man-at-arms) as well, with different clothes, armour, weapons, and heraldry.
Regards,
Aquilius

I always wanted a 3bx in the 80's. I thought they were SOOOOO cool  and they were! :)
LOL, I can see where my wording was misleading. It was after I blew the channels elsewhere, that I decided to move the Carver 2000 to my bedroom....and I knew I'd have to pull the M1.5 to drive it. Right now, both Carver pieces are in a closet, along with a Marantz 2226B (late 70's) & Marantz tape deck, a 35yr old Scott integrated rcvr.
Most of my dbx recordings were done on a TEAC cassette deck too. It is a V450X.
TEAC was always one of the best names in tape decks. Does the V450X have glass heads?

458 isn't because 457 other peeps have been Plato.
If you look at your phone keypad and the letters - 458 = ILU = I love you.
I went out with a guy at work for 6 yrs and we used to text each other using numbers rather than words so no one would see what we were saying to each other...it was our secret and really good fun trying to work out what on earth we were trying to say!
So we'd text;
Big Mwah (big kiss) 244 6924
Big Hug 244 484
Rhowh (I want you) 74694
Come Here ;) 2663 4373
Did I ever tell you? = dietu? = 34388
I love you 458
Sometimes we'd give in trying to translate everything into numbers and do acronyms instead (it was that kinda company!)

Seems a bit of a shame to have the Carver gear in a closet though!!
Marantz made some WAY cool tape decks in the 80's. The specs were amazing.
TEAC was always one of the best names in tape decks. Does the V450X have glass heads?
I think the V455X had the glass heads. I had an Akai deck that no longer worked that had galss heads which I removed and added to my TEAC deck. I had to do some circuit tweaks to get the bias and EQ right but it was well worth the effort.
That really sucks :(
Yeah. That is one of very few regrets I have! That album would be worth a mint now. Not that I would sell it if I still had it.

I was going to use my dog's name which was Echo, but they wouldn't take four letter words, so I added a "T" in the front.

Well.....mine is kinda easy....mauiwaaui..........Maui Wowie........was a time when I was considered a "head"...........enjoyed the green yet I still worked two jobs and was very productive during those years.......though Mario Bros./Tetris and Cap'n Crunch (big bowl) late nights were my buddies....LOL....but then got into the EMS/Fire side of things and all that faded away.........
Deadhead also........followed them some in the day......
peace out......

empress = based on the tarot card
The empress represents the point at which the imagined becomes real, she's a doorway or a gate. In some other places, I've used empressgate or empressdaleth (daleth is the hebrew letter associated with the card - meaning either #4 or a gate)
Cat - well, that's just from some of my friends remarking on my catlike qualities. Something in the way I move that a couple of men have called catlike. And I can be playful like a kitten... My best friend likes to ask whether I've been good kitty or bad kitty this week. ( ;) )
LongnHard
06-01-2007, 08:22 PM
I like to tell people that LongnHard refers to my workouts or my body, but honestly I intended the double entendre. My bad! I have gotten some great comments and all of them witty, if not possitive. I have even gotten reps for my name.

Meow!! Felines rule!
Seriously, my friends all tell me I am from planet 'pusscat' LOL :D
That's where I got the name for my music project, "SuperPuss" :)

I must admit I never really got into ds9. My faves are Voyager and Next Gen.
BTW - sorry about the edit note on your post. I accidentally pressed 'edit' instead of 'quote'..... oops!!Oh, she was on Next Gen, in at least two episodes, maybe three.

Also, the 2 parter Klingon civil war one, where Worf resigns to go do battle for one side.

Cheers for that. Will do! I have almost all the Voyager episodes on DivX. Been meaning to do the same with Next Gen too. :)
Talk about digging up an old thread :). It's almost 2yrs old, but was last posted in back in June of 07'.
Well, there's about a zillion new people here, so I thought some of you might want to explain what your screen name means or how it was derived. Some are no-brainers, some are interesting, and some are...just weird :).
EDIT: And there has to be a grandfather clause about the O/T thing :p

That is an awesome transformation. Congrats!!
I didn't realize the age of this when I posted. This is from page 1. Yikes I feel so up to speed. I was laughing at how many pages and years had passed since then. Was glad to see someone else had dug it up first.

I was going to break out of my usual style of writing diplomatic posts that don't offend anybody, and write some hard hitting posts to call people up on some of the bull that goes on here (I mean the whole site not just the O35s), now I'm back to writing diplomatic posts that dont offend anybody.
Guff is a play on my last name...which nobody can pronounce correctly.

Arlecchino:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arlecchino_%28opera%29
What I was listening to when I signed up.
Interestingly enough, the Opera has four parts:"Allegro" - "rogue"
Coincides with a very mispent youth.
"Heroic March" - "warrior"
Used to fight a lot.
"Scherzoso" - "husband"
This used to apply as well.
"The Final Triumph" - "conqueror"
Working on getting this on my resume. Any day now. You will see.

I can't believe I Missed this 2 years ago Kev.
Well for all that are new. Lukamar is the name of our company, of our website and some other stuff. It's made up of my wife's nickname "Luk" (actually her nickname is Koy but that's a different story) and the first bit of my name "Mar". So we added an "A" for and so it ended up as "Lukamar"

Well my typical forum name is Stw(my initials) and 123 but Stw123 was taken, so I went with Stw+wolf(I have always been a bit of a loner) = StWolf.
I'll tell ya Kev, this is the second time you've resurrected this thread & it's still going strong. I read it again from the beginning & it made me both happy & sad to think of all the folks who were around then & the fun we had, but it seems harder & harder to keep up with everyone who's here now. It's probably me, there's only so much time & energy anyone can invest in something, as you well know. But it's still a fun thread.

It's what gets me to the gym every night.
unimoose
03-20-2008, 09:28 PM
My friends and I had been overserved in a bar that had a 12" stuffed moose with a stocking cap as a mascot. Somewhere along the night the moose ended up with one of it's antlers inside the hat making it a one antlered moose. We were well beyond loud and obnoxious and ended up getting kicked out. Somehow the blame was laid at my feet, I proceeded to take the stuffed moose out of my jacket and laid the blame on him saying something poetic like "It was the %#$&@ unimoose's fault!" When I needed a screen name for an E mail address that's the name I took and have used ever since.
