I'm from jacksonville originally, now i'm in palatka about 30 minutes south of the jax line.

Come early spring i'll be riding up to Gainesville 3 times a week to workout at a gym there. Preferably i'd like to work out at the UF gym, but I doubt they'll let me in there being that i'm a non-student.

I've always lifted in my garage at home but I just joined a gym for the first time in my life. It's close to work and we get membership for half price. Feel like a n00b in there though tryin to figure out all the machines and stuff. Home lifters are more hard core, IMO.

I've only done the gym thing once before. I was about 19, they were running a 99dollar/99day deal. I barely made it three months. Too many fake people, I like my home setup, nobody judges me but the mirror. Now , having said that, I may be doing the gym thing again soon. My cousin is a lee county deputy, he wants to lift with me, and they just opened a new gym few blocks from his house. I'm gonna check it out. He gets a big discount through work. And my last training partner hurt his shoulder, says he's done.

Hi Fellow floridians, Im new to free weights training and looking for a strength coach/trainer to hire that will come to my home gym in Tarpon Springs Area (North Pinellas / south Pasco counties) and help me learn some of the basic stregth lifts mainly the Squat, Dead, Clean, Press, and Couple Others (IM planning to start the Starting Stregnth Program from Rippetoe, Ive read the book but would like to hire someone to make sure im doing/learning it correctly and not learning bad habits. I have talked to a couple personal trainers but it didnt feel like strength and free weights were there specialty so they didnt make sense for what I want. Sarasota Florida here...Sheriff's Deputy (Corrections)...New to body building, but really loving it so far...Started out in the gym to drop some fat...so far its going well. Of course now I like the way the iron makes me feel and so I am contemplating new goals.

I get up every work day at 0230 hours, the sun is still dreaming as are most everyone else. I wash the sleep from my eyes, get my uniform and other gear packed in my gym bag and I'm off to the gym...The only gym open at 3AM is the county gym, offered for use to all county employee's so I'm lucky to be one I guess *grins*. I get there, and its empty, of course, not many people are insane enough to train at that hour. Today was legs...(ouch)...I report for duty at 0545 and I'm here till 1800 hours (6pm)...It makes for a long day.

I have also started training at the Sarasota Aikikai again...took about 9 years off for assorted reasons...

In that pic, I had just got her from the shelter down off 6 mile cypress, they said she was about 6 months old. Lab's are great dogs, but the other day, my kids fed her something bad and she pooped on the floor.:(

Luckily it was just a tropical storm and not a hurricane.

Worked out in Golds Gym by US-19 by New Port Richey. Beautiful women/staff and great equipment...

Driving back up to NJ I ran into Fay's remnants around Georgia and was hit by a deluge of rain making visibility almost zero with bad lightning.
