I am intersted in entering a figure competition but have no idea where to start. I have a very athletic body and work out 6 days a week. I know I can get in very lean shape if I had a goal set. I live in Arkansas and have no clue when or where to look for a competition in my area that would be right for a first time competitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Look at some of the organization websites:

I competed in INBF as an amateur and won my pro-card through them. Their sister organization the NANBF is in the Mid-West and up through Wisconsin. So try them: www.nanbf.org

Nessa,

The FAME Festival is at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) Saturday :: April 29th, 2006. It will feature novice regionals, FAME Southwest (for beginners) and finishes the day with the Southern US Nationals pro-qualifier event.

More info at www.FAME-FEST.com. If you're near Little Rock, it's a 5-hour drive or about a $100 ticket on SW airlines.
