You mean a pyramid? That is one of the worst training "methods" ever invented, for both strength and bodybuilding. No (good) PL routine uses it.

225x5
275x3
315

-365 arrgghh
365 PR Yayyy!

That's from your workout journal...Isn't a pyramid when the weight goes up and the reps go down? I think just about everone on here does something simialr to this.

No a pyramid is when you go back down to lighter weights and higher reps AFTERWARDS.

ie 10,8,6,4,2,4,6,8

otherwise he wouldn't need to ask about "pyramids" if everyone on here does it.

That's what I used to think but on the main page theres plenty of articles about pyramids ( increasing weight decreasing reps)
and then reverse pyramids (starting heavy then decreasing weight and increasing reps.)

Well how do you want to train? Are you into bodybuilding or powerlifting? I assume you are into PL since you posted here in the PL training forum, but we don't do any sort of body part splits, be they 3 day, 5 day, or uppper/lower body. Please check out the Massive Article sticky on the main PL forum page, there are plenty of programs there. You can also follow several of our training logs for more detailed information.
