Yes, I lost 85 pounds without a trainer; surrounded by food pushing friends and family. When I messed up my diet, it was not in private but with my friends/family. My mindset to break from tradition (traditional hangouts and frozen fatty family foods) was my biggest obstacle.
To lose fat, I had to lose tradition. Pound the pavement when everyone was still asleep in bed. Eat Tuna when everyone was eating Oreo's. It sucked but thin tastes better.

I really needed to hear your post... I was doing well until my B'day on 2/22..got discouraged and blew my diet and missed my BODYPUMP class! I resolve to break my old traditions and embrace the New! Thanks for being a friend.
