Im entering an ocb in pittsburgh......i think as far as conditioning i'll be fine. Im not as white anymore as i was in my pic, good base tan now and the pic was actually during a bulking phase while stationed in germany. But im worried about size in my upper chest, is this going to kill me that my shoulders overrun my delts? And could someone look over my diet, im 12 weeks out now.

meal 1: 8 egg whites, 1 cup oats
meal 2: 8 oz. talapia, 1 medium sweet potato
meal 3: 8 oz. chicken breast, 1 cup brown rice, 2 cups broccoli
meal 4: 6 oz. canned tuna, 1/2 cup oats
meal 5: pre workout: 8 oz. chicken breast, large sweet potato, 8 stalks asparagus
meal 6: pwo....2 scoops wpi, 7 rice cakes

Thanks for your service. As for diet, wait for more comments. For now, I'm not seeing any EFA's in there. May want to add some. Also, are you trying to drop fat right now? If so, mabye taper off the carbs a bit toward the afternoon. As for shoulders/chest. Here's my thinking. I'm preparing for my first show and have accepted that proportion/sym. is something that I'll have to address on the next go around. For now, I'm just going to drop the fat and see what everything looks like. I'm sure there will be much to work on but for now I'm not going to worry too much about it. Just get into condition, get out there and compete and then work on improving once you know what you need to improve. And what you think you need to improve and what you think is good may be the complete opposite of what a judge tells you. For what it's worth, this is my way of looking at it as a rookie....

As far as your proportion question - Once you diet down, your body changes anyways - if you've never seen your body in contest shape, you don't really know what you'll look like. But - I agree with Cape1. Do your first show, then work on things once you know what you need to work on. Depending on the size of the show and level of competition - condition is the most important thing - focus on that right now.

thanks guys....i'll switch the chicken in the 3rd meal to salmon and maybe throw a whole egg or 2 in at breakfast instead of just whites, and right now im trying to lose fat very slowly and maintain...here in a few weeks i'll start seriously dieting down and carb cycling throught the week.
