Try this thread, has some excellent links and posts.
IF you can swing it, do it right from the start.
An incline/flat/decline bench with leg ext/curl attach, a good power cage with chinning bar, an olympic weight set (300lb) AND std 'spinner lock' set (160lb for dumbbell stuff)
With this setup you can hit ALL the main compund AND isolation exercises and you won't outgrow it.
