I'd say it's Whistler and Blackcomb, been there a few times (3 hour drive) and it's actually spectacular.

Seen those T.V. programs with pro skiers/boarders riding down those fresh covered powder?
Yup, Whistler and Blackcomb is that perfect setting when you go at the right time of a good season.

The view is incredible, I must add.

But it still can't be compared to the Alps though.

I've been to the Alps as well.

Too bad I was about 6 or so at the time and didn't know how to snowboard :(

Damn... I really want to go to Whistler...

I liked Silverstar and Fernie.
Last time I went to silverstar it was so warm. I came back looking like I came from Hawaii. Plus, how can you beat snowboarding one day and then golfing the next. ahh... thats the life.

im starting to get sick of Marmot though... Its fun, but I think I just go there too much (its the closest Mountain to me)

Ive also heard that Kicking Horse is good... Still though, Whistler/Blackcomb has the reputation as one of the best in the world... cant mess with that :)

:( im so jealous of you guys. ive only been to 3 different places for snowboarding, in school trips, and they all sucked so bad cause all 3 times it wasnt real snow, and in some areas the snow disappeared, only thing left was ice, which i usually slip on when trying to break or turn on it.. LOL

Best ski resort is Beaver Creek Colorado.

Best mountain for powder cat skiing is Bald Face lodge in Canada.

In the Northwest U.S., Grand Targhee in Wyoming is pretty famous for its powder. I'm too lazy to post any pics or links but it's an amazing mountain with great conditions and I'm lucky to be less than 2 hours away.

brighton, UT is my favorite. not so much because of the actual resort, but because of the back country access from the lifts. i've had some of my best riding days there.

been to many mountains (not whistler) but beaver creek by a landslide. Golden Eagle (men's world super G) was groomed yesterday... unreal. The doubles at beaver cannot be matched, glades are epic (royal elk, black bear) bumps are top notch (bald eagle, goshawk) and lift lines literally dont exist. I have also done Vail many times and its great and all... but I always get more quality runs in at beaver. Quality over quantity. Plus from what i've heard the snow at whistler is sub par.

25 runs today! entire talons challenge completed in one day.

and mountain creek NJ is about as pathetic as it gets. I would know I was on my high school ski racing team in NJ and all of our meets were at mountain creek.
