I duck and goose hunt the Southeastern Illinois flyaway, been in a blind since i could walk....The birds just dont make it down this way as much anymore, especially the geese...Had a better season this year tho, shot alot of ducks, even shot a banded goose that came all the way from Manetoba Canada...

I haven't been hunting for anything since I moved back in with the folks, but I could walk less than 100 yards out our back door towards the quarry pond and shoot ducks or geese, then go fishing for crappie, bass, or bluegill in the stocked pond. I can sit in a lawn chair in our old barn or on our patio and shoot turkeys or deer. I can trap beaver less than 50 yards from my door, or shoot muskrats in the same spot.
I can even shoot the coyotes that have a den in the quarry.
It's like a mini Wild Kingdom where I live.:D

Yea, duck breast is a little bit gamy, but almost as good as prime rib or a fillet if ya ask me.

Grilled is the best. My buddy made a marinade that really toned down the flavor and made them tasty as Hell. I wish I had that recipe.

Yeah, I remember the milk, but I have no idea what the other stuff was.
