i know most women hold their body fat around their behind, theigh area etc. but i am different, my legs are not bad at all but all extra weight i hold in my abdomen and ever since having a baby its not any better. i am new to this and yes ive read a lot of the posts but it seems what im doing is not affecting my abdomen.

i guess what im asking is a few good abdomen /core training exercises? it is the hardest part for me by far.

ive read a few different answers to this one but how many calories per day should a young (23) woman take in with regards to her body weight? im at a point right now where i do need to drop body weight and one person told me 15 calories per lb of body weight others said 27 etc etc.

thank you!

I'm not sure what your weight and height is but those both play a big factor in how many calories you need daily. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/issa64.htm

Believe it or not, when I gain weight it goes straight to my midsection, too. Sadly, no matter what "core" exercises you do, you cannot spot lose. Meaning, it is impossible to lose weight on only one area of the body. You can do all the crunches and sit ups in the world, but you'll still have the fat covering up those fabulous abs. Therefore, your best bet is a general weight-loss program that includes cardio and a weight training to build lean muscle mass. Having more muscle means your body is burning more calories even while at rest.

X2, my dad also holds most of his fat at the belly and so do i, his BF% is really low, has vascularity everywhere, but has a big flabby stomach lol, so do i, and everyone else on my dad's side, our bellies just love fat lmao.
