Hello all,

After reading Layne's contest prep guide i've been inspired to start competiting, and i'm looking forward to it :)

I'm looking to enter the Western Australia state open titles on October 14th, which by my calculation is 30 weeks away. Here are my current stats:

Height: 5'10''
Weight: 173 lbs
BF%: ~18

I think maybe i'm a bit light on the mass size so i'm gonna try and bulk for about 8 weeks, leaving me 22 weeks to cut for the comp.

I'm a very active person and my maintenance rate is ~3000 cal per day. I'm going to look at a clean bulk at around ~4000 cal per day, then cut on a 40/40/20 diet to around 6%-8% (hopefully :P )

Supps i was planning on using during the bulk:

Creatine Monohydrate (normal dose);
Whey Protein Concentrate (~60g per serve); and maybe
L-Glutamine (normal dose)

Supps i was planning on during the cut:

WPC; and
Fat burner supp, probably Lipo6

Does anyone have any comments about this? It's something i've wanted to do for a long time, and i think doing wellin a show would be pretty awesome, even if it's a small one over here in west aussie land :P

hey man, looks pretty good, but i don't think you really need 22 weeks to cut down for your show, especially if you only have 16% bf.
I would highly recommend that you use dextrose or vitargo for you supplements in your bulking. It would really help your muscle to absorb the creatine.
Anyway man, keep posting further stats
