Dumbell rack

Does anyone know of a rack for dumbells that holds the dumbell on each side of the bench so you can lay down and take the weights off and do your exercise?
A guy at our gym ask me about some and I haven't been able to find any. Thanks

I think what he is looking for is a rack that would hold the dumbells like a bench press holds the bar. EXCEPT that the dumbell would be supported by the weights and not the bar.

He's looking for something to hold the dumbbells next to his bench so he can do dumbbell presses, flyes etc. without having to lift the weight right off the ground or have someone hand it to you.
I've never seen any before. Sounds like a good idea. I work out at home and sometimes its a b*tch getting the heavier weights off the floor (Rather than holding them then lying down)to do flat flyes.

Get creative, you could prob figure soemthing out.

If u have a squat cage or any equipment that has a bar going across the top you can tie rope to it and then tie it to the dumbells works pretty well..

I work out at home by myself and have reached the weight level where getting the weights on dumbells into position is a problem. I asked local sport center and they know of no such device. Maybe someone should develop and market.

yep he has one for dumbells as well. I dont have it but i do own the barbell one and I like it alot.

Do you have the ropes in the sherman product suspended from ceiling joists or are you using their rack?

the ropes come with the package.
I am using my ceiling joist but we are talking sawmill oak lumber from 1942. I dont think you could break it with 10,000 pds.
I dont know much about the rack that he sells but id say if ya anchor it well enough a ceiling should be sufficient. I'd say that the ceiling is prob the weakest part of it. The equipment itself is heaveduty built.
