Remote-controlled explosives strapped to two mentally retarded women detonated in a coordinated attack on Baghdad pet bazaars Friday, Iraqi officials said, killing at least 73 people in the deadliest day since the U.S. sent 30,000 extra troops to the capital last spring.
The chief Iraqi military spokesman in Baghdad, Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, claimed the female bombers had Down syndrome and that the explosives were detonated by remote control, indicating they may not having been willing attackers in what could be a new method by suspected Sunni insurgents to subvert stepped up security measures.

I have my opinions about being over there but I just hope all my friends come home real soon from there
just because they had down syndrome doesnt mean they werent willing, it means that they were willing. mentally retarded people are very eager to please, and would likely say yes to this not knowing the gravity of what they were doing, so whether you support suicide bombing or not, this is beyond wrong.

This sucks after 7 straight months of reduction in US deaths. Each of the last 7 months the total US troop casualties have dropped. I have been doing a lot of teaching this to my HS kids because all they see on the television is how US troops are dying and when they actually investigate we find that each of the last 7 months, troop deaths have decreased.
This will definitely be something that we will be talking about on Monday. It really goes to show you how these Iraqui insurgents are willing to use any method or advantage possible. Unfortunately, using mentally retarded individuals is an advantage for the insurgents. Certainly a sad day.
My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone involved in the military or anyone who has loved ones in the military. You guys do a great job and your service is definitely appreciated!!!!

This is the kind of sick **** that made my best friend enlist in the Marines. His little brother has down syndrome, and when he heard of these prime examples of human trash using the mentally retarded for bombings he got pissed.

A friend just sent me an e-mail loaded with pics from a "peaceful" muslim protest in London. They were carrying signs that said things like "Behead anyone who insults Islam" "Murder the Non-Believers" "Europe is the disease, Islam is the cure" "Slay those who mock Islam" "Europe, your 9/11 is on the way" "Prepare for the TRUE Holocaust"
Just to quote a few.
And by the way, this march was called the "Religion of Peace Demonstration".
Go figure.

you guys must have missed the news article that detailed how 2 Iranian sisters have been sentenced to death by stoning because the judge has essentially determined from a hidden camera that shows men walking into the house that because they walked into the house, there must have been adultery...
