Hey all,
I'm 10.5 weeks out from my very first show over here in Germany. I'm getting the calories that I'm supposed to be getting. I'm getting the protein that I'm supposed to be getting. I'm getting everything that I'm supposed to be getting.
The problem is, is that I constantly feel hunger, which just makes me tempted all of the time for stuff.
Here's what my diet is right now:
Meal 1
4 egg whites
1 cup of Kashi GoLean Crunch
Meal 2
1 chicken breast
3 servings of baby carrots
Meal 3
Protein shake with 250 calories and 44g of protein
Meal 4
Protein shake with a banana added
Meal 5
2 Chicken breast
3 rice cakes
What do you all think? What kind of words of wisdom do you all have?

Your are probably hungry because all the carbs you are ingesting are simple carbs. Carrots, Rice cakes, banana's, cereal (high in corn syrup).
Try some green veggie's like broccoli, asparagus, lettuce and more complex carbs like old fashion oats, brown rice and sweet potatoes. These will keep you full much longer than those you are eating now.
Where are the fats? Almonds, Natural PB or Fish Oil.......
You need to divide your protein up a little better as well. Why 2 chicken breast at your last meal, and 4 egg whites for breakfast?
Also try consuming whole foods and dropping the protein shakes, this should help as well.
Hope this help!

replace the carrots with broccoli, replace the rice cakes with oatmeal.
btw, if you are precontest eventually you are going to be hungry all the time, it's just the way it is

At some salads in. They will help fill you up. You can munch on pickles as well. They are low in cals/carbs but high in sodium. You could also add in some almonds or mixed nuts.

Just... throw in some lettuce and celery + lots of tobasco sauce, drink a big cup of water, then go play some video games :)

OMG.
That diet is soooooo bad not to mention wrong. Please dont tell me your going into a contest with that diet. Also no wonder your hungry all the damn time.
Also what in the hell are you doing eating bananas and sugary cereals in your diet?
I have no idea what your workout/training routine is and I also have no idea what supplements you are on or anything vital like that BUT from a purely dieting stand point what you should be ONLY eating is as follows.
6 MEALS PER DAY
1st - 12 egg whites and 1/2 cup regular oatmeal.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th meal - 2 chicken breasts and 1 cup broccoli.
Thats just an general idea. Whoever or whatever you got your from is totally wrong. Also people who diet for contests NEVER have protein shakes as part of their diets. Only real foods.

You are getting hungry because you have 0 fats in your diet. Fat satiates.
Cook the eggs in olive oil. Have some nuts, particulary almonds, in moderation.

yep.. heres some advice
heres wat i think will make this diet much better
1) add fiber... fills you up and prevents wooden dumps
2) at least 20% of cals should come from fat.. you wont believe how much this will help .. fills you right up
3) complex carbs... and refeeds every 3-4 days .. not cheats though !
goodluck

I could never follow the diet you set as an example. Too much monotony. I also use protein shakes to get enough protein when dieting for a show. I'd say most bbers do pre-contest and I know some top level guys that take them up to and during the final week of prep. I also think knowing how to cook tasty meals is great when dieting. It gives you the freedom of mixing things up and not have such a boring diet. I do agree with the sugar cereals. I'd ditch that NOW!
