Awhile back i had Staph infection , Doc said it was from shaving , besides body building i also do Xtreme fighting so there's more contact with others skin and the mats have to be disinfected often.

Doc said use disposable 1 time use razors which i don't like to use.

For those that don't google , we all have some staph on our skin and it gets rubbed into an open wound , i cought mine very early and only needed cream and antibiotics , i start my Contest diet this week and was just curious if any of you have encountered this during contest prep?

I've had staph twice, during wrestling season. If yours is severe as mine you won't really want to shave the infected area. Mine was like a mini leprosy. It went from my neck down around the back of my shoulder where it originated, and had formed a quarter sized crater in my shoulder than was like 1/4in deep. It was horrible, I couldn't have any contact for a month. The second time I got it I saw it early and got rid of it. But yeah, it can spread very easily, most of the wrestling team got it also, so try and keep it covered and away from anything that doesn't want staph.

Hope I was of some help,
