Ok, started keto Monday. My eating schedule this week looked something like this....
Morning cardio - roughly 4 miles at a jog
meal 1 - 5/6 eggs with 3 strips of bacon or sausage
meal 2 - 2 oz nuts, brocolli
meal 3 - 8 oz chicken/cheese/salsa eith small salad/ceasar dressing
meal 4 - slim jim, cheese
Workout
Post workout protein shake
meal 5 - beef patties/cheese, salad
meal 6 - 1/2 cup cottage cheese
Later in the week i changed it up a little and cut the nuts out and replaced it with cheese. Counted it all up and carbs are VERY low. Drinking a gallon of water a day. I got the horrible taste in my mouth around tues/wed, haven't smelled my piss lol. My thinking has been very cloudy. Dropped only maybe a pound or so. I feel more "thermogenic" if that makes any sense, I sweat easier.
Wasent sure if I wanted to do a carb up this first week but went out and ate sushi......a lot of sushi. One thing I havent seen on here is much about that. Tryed looking up some nutritional facts but couldnt find much. The only thing I think that has carbs is the rice.
I have been checking my keto levels everyday and after the 2nd day or so I showed "trace" and wednesday showed "small" but it has yet to move from there. Am I truly not fully in ketosis or are the ketostix not that accurate? I feel like I have all the symptoms and my diet seems to be in line. Any thoughts guys?
