For the last 3 months I have been training legs twice a week, monday i have a quad dominant leg day, and thursdays is a ham dominant leg day.
I am quite aware that the major compound leg exercises work both the hams and quads, but i wanted to really bring them out, so i thought i would try it.
My question is, has anyone else had success with a similar leg program, or should I just have one leg session with a few compounds and a couple of isolations for the hams and quads?
DOMS has usually passed within 3 days for me so i am happy to train legs more than once every seven days, any suggestions?

I've had a lot of success training them on separate days. throwing in lots of unilateral work for both has been beneficial as well.
If I do work them on the same day I usually do low weight-hi reps. I save those days for when I know I won't have time to give them individual attention.

I was doing legs twice a week as well. Mondays I would lift heavy for both quads and hams. Then on Thurs. I would do NO weights but VERY high reps of one-legged squats (with light bar), one- legged lunges on step, one-legged deadlifts (w light bar), hams on stability ball and so on. My goodness...my glutes and legs were lovin me. I especially love one-legged dead lifts. I will be resuming back to this regiman shortly.

thanks!
I like the sound of heavy legs and light legs on seperate days, I hade a great trainer put me on this program for a while and after i changed workout programs a couple of months later I did not return to it. I guess maybe its time to give it another try
I apprecieate the help!

I have been doing this for the past 4 weeks now. I love the way it has started to transform my legs. My hamstrings have been lacking and this has really helped.
