Can someone please tell me what the hell "keto" means? ive heard it applied to diets and lifestyle, but i cant friggin figure out what it is...

Keto is short for Ketogenic diet.

Basically, high fat, high to moderate protien, and you manipulate carbs to your advantage.

Doesn't keto mean muscle wasting? I didn't realize that keto was used by so many bodybuilders. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

No, it's not muscle wasting. When you eat high carbs and low fat the carbs are protein sparing. On the flip side, when you eat high fat and low carbs, the fat is protein sparing.

Can someone give me a link to info on this diet please?
Also, I'm wondering if someone could give me a list of fats that I could take when on this diet.
I know about almonds - but other than that as a ready/fast edible fat, what else is there?
I can't really have olive oil "ready", as I don't always want to have a salad.

Suggestions please??
