Going to hell for that one =(
That is not in the least bit funny. In fact, that is nothing short of disresepctful, inconsiderate, immature, rude and just plain f ucking stupid. Grow the f uck up.

Strong sense of humor on this one, don't take life soo seriously. Everyone gets insulted for **** they can't change get over it in my opinion. It was obviously not meant to be taken seriously as the guy looks great and has obviously succeeded and excelled in a situation others would have trouble with. God damn you're touchy
Are you ****ing stupid? Have you ever thought how life would be for you without the use of your legs? I don't think that is something that I personally would want someone joking about if I were in that position, and believe me, I have a HUGE sense of humor.

Far from stupid and it's really sad you're getting so worked up over such a small thing. People joke about addicts and retarded people on here all the time, apparently nothing wrong with that. Trust me I know what it's like and was friends with someone who couldn't walk (muscular dystrophy) but I don't take things as seriously as you apparently. Like I said i respect the man took down my comment, so please get over it. I understand the post can be seen as off-color. Sorry but I like Roasts and all the sense of humor that shocks you, so sorry if it offended you as I meant nothing by it and the man obviously looks great
I am not at all worked up, let me assure you of that. An addict is a totally different situation, and I have to admit I would not be so 'sensitive' to a joke about someone with a mental disability - maybe because they wouldn't comprehend it.
It does not offend me personally, although I personally feel it was very distasteful and disrespectful, to both him and his family who have to share the burden. Maybe it is just immaturity.
Yes imageshack images are cranky for me

Once again I apologize man, I assure you it is not immaturity just a kind of humor I find fun and funny, where you insult other people and they in turn insult you ex. "Barry Bonds can see the baseball as well as Stevie Wonder" see Roast style stuff. I should not have said it and I retracted my statement.
It's all good bro - one of the reasons I jumped on you is that if it is the picture I am thinking of, he actually posts on and frequents this forum.

Actually I found it funny.
So would my friend Danny. I'm 100% positive of that and I'm fairly sure he'd feel pretty patronised by your comment...
....Either that or he really does get annoyed when I ask him to come up the stairs to see something cool.
Not nearly as disrespectful, inconsiderate, immature and rude as anything on Family Guy, that's for sure.

So people in general with mental disabilities don't have basic english/humour skills?
Gee my experiences with one of my best friends being very retarded (below 70 IQ), my ol' Down's buddy (who still has my Jet Force Gemini and Rayman 2, the c*nt) and volunteering over the years have been completely deprived in the kind of humour I now realise is safe!
(GENUINE belittlement from ignorance over a disabled demograph, as opposed to a quite accurate ironic jab? Now THAT'S what I consider f*cking offensive)

Coming from a friend versus a complete stranger are two completely different scenario's in my opinion. And I knew that I worded that sentence on the mentally disabled TOTALLY politically incorrect and just inaccurate in general, but what has been posted has been posted and I'm not going to go back and edit it. I will also have to admit that I have never actually known or socialized with someone that fits that description, although there was one which was an extreme case which would fall under my stereotype. With that said, I would never intentionally insult them either, especially directly too them where they might be directly affected. I was just trying to be honest, but appreciate you pointing out my ignorance.

Agreed. I think its even worse when one assumes that someone in this situation must have a burdensome life and thus treats them like they constantly need help.
Its time to take off the kitty gloves and treat these people how they want to be treated.. normal.

As do I and your post. I have to admit that after posting on this thread, I read more of the thread that I posted and he was actually laughing with someone who jokingly asked how much he's squatting. So maybe he wouldn't have taken it so personally... I try to live by treating people as I would like to be treated, and I wouldn't like people mocking me had I been in his position, but it is wonderful that he can take light of the situation.
With that said, this guy looks fantastic as well!

You would take it seriously if it was your ass in the chair.
You need to behave like an adult, not some 13 year old kid who doesn't know any better.

Just a clarification, you just MUST have below 70 IQ to be considered legally retarded. 70-55 IQ is considered a light.

Wow, fantastic development!!
I wonder if not having the use of his legs forces him to be real strict with his exercises since he can't shift some of the load to his lower body. No lower body stabilization. And think about how inconvenient it must be to just move around the gym.
However you cut it, the greatest respect is due.

GeeNo, great philosophy! The Golden Rule.
It's so simple and obviously the only sane way to approach life, yet so few seem to live by it.

Typical attitude, there was nothing immature about the remark and just because you're older than me does not mean that you are more mature than me or above me so don't talk down to me. As someone else said don't treat the man like he needs help constantly. People joke about my parents all the time but...they're both dead, do I get offended..No, because I can take a joke. Get a life man honestly, nothing wrong with a harmless joke, apparently a lot of people feel the same way I do. Anyways, enough of the post hijacks. Drop it and move on, the post was removed. Like I said, he looks great
You know that your initial statement was derogatory, i need not explain why because the statement was clear enough for a child to understand.
The remark and your attitude towards ppl with severe disabilities was very immature and your lack of maturity has nothing to do with age.
I am older yes, and i am much more mature, as proved by my disgust at your attitude with regards to jokes about ppl with disabilities, I am more mature, not because i am older but because i am a thinker who does not have much time for acting childish and less time for being derogatory, especially to people with disabilities, sure i will joke from time to time, but never will i make fun of or make derogatory statements to ppl with severe disabilities.
When idiots joke about your parents it doesnt bother you? Do you just sit there and think, ha ha? Because if you do you are fukked in the head, you have experienced personal tragedy and you laugh about it? I do not have to say any more on your state of mind.
I am not treating the guy in the chair like he needs help constantly, i am treating you as you should be treated, if you think im not going to voice my opinion on something i feel strongly about then you do not belong in a forum where opinions and ideas are discussed, maybe you should stick to the misc section, but im sure even there many would find your comment disgusting.
Im sorry about your loss.

Yea, wtf? If anyone in my family died, and then somebody/people tried to make fun of it...... laughing would be the last thing on my mind. That's pretty fuked up man.
