I'm about to start work again and abit worried about the diet side of things, i'll be doing 8am-5pm with 2 breaks, won't be able to eat while working either.

Thinking of something for breakfast plus a shake. 2 chicken sandwhiches for 1st break and then some tuna and maybe ham baguette for lunch. then down the gym straight after work and have tea. followed by a couple more 'snacks' and a protein shake.

Well I am at this very moment sitting at my desk tucking into a plate of mesquite grilled chicken and jamaican style red beans and rice. All brought in from home.

I always pack my lunch. Roast beef or chicken on whole wheat, oatmeal cookie, powerade. For snacks, I keep Kashi protein bars, nuts and jerky in my desk drawer.

I take a lean meat (extra lean ground beef, len ground turkey, chicken, or tuna) and a vegetable for 2 meals. The other meal is oatmeal and a protein shake. I even eat my meals cold.

Like others, I bring a whole buffet with me to work. I typically pack a protein shake, lean beef or chicken (cooked, eaten cold because I don't have time to run to the microwave), fresh raw veggies (unless I mix in cooked veggies with my meat), oats, fruit, and nuts. I've also used protein bars, but avoid them mostly. I don't think they stack up very well to a protein shake or a real-food meal, as most don't have high quality protein, have too much fat, have too many carbs, and generally don't taste great.

What is your goal? The ham baguette may not be your best choice. Perhaps more tuna or chicken. Also, for the record, if you're going to eat chicken, why have a sandwich? How about cutting the chicken into strips and making a stir-fry. I think they taste great cold, you get in veggies, avoid some carbs (from the sandwich bread).

???? Your gym serves tea? Mine barely has a water fountain! Do they do finger sandwiches as well?

I bring a can of tuna, Turkey Chili, 2 pieces of fruit and a small bag of mixed unsalted nuts. I keep a tub of whey under my desk.

People kind of bust on me for Chili every day (I make a big batch on Sunday and freeze it in lunch containers) but it's high protein, high fiber, has 3 food groups and I love it.

I usually take a protein bar and a piece of fruit for the car ride. Oatmeal and protein powder for morning snack - lean meat sandwich on whole wheat for lunch (usually grab some pretzels) - yogurt with granola and some flavorless whey for an afternoon snack.
