Feeling for ya Fitty.

Much better workout today as I got back to a regular workout time. Needless to say, the results felt and were a lot better.

Also coming close to my San Attitude (ATD) trial. Awaiting on some more blood tests, so the results and trial is pretty damn substantial. I fill you all in when I get more results. I will say, it is doing something.

Okay old habits die hard. I got off schedual with the big ragoo this week due to the family issues. So made it for leg day today.

Was going to be a GVT day...But heavy weights makes me feel better. I started with the program and did 3 sets of 10 with 315..Then I was like:

SCREW THIS

3 sets of 495 for 6-8 reps

1 set of 455 for 8 reps with a three second pause at the bottom. My butt check were touching my ankles.

Some light hammy work as well.

Still don't have the results from the 2nd blood draw, but still heading for a
3rd tomorrow.

Not a bad workout after a long day at the office. Mentally I'm wiped out and physically at needing a week off. Worked legs and ended with ATG squats with 315 for 18 and couldn't go no more.

Weighted dips combined with EZ bar curls 10 sets of 10.

Front DB raises combined with low cable cross overs.

3 sets 10

Now if I can just get through this work day.

I know its early in the GVT for you but are you gaining any weight?

I haven't weighed in as of late. This is week three of the GVT. I am looking bigger, though be it a tad bloated from the 7,000 (plus)calories.

Now that my ribs are almost 100%, I will find it very hard to stay with this program.

Hi Barb!! Have a great Hump Day tomorrow.

Good workout this morning. Hit legs and hit them hard. Moving more weights with the same number of reps. Hard time walking afterward, but definitely worth it and definitely growing.

Ended the SAN ATTITUDE trial at the end of last week but still feeling the testosterone high. Got 10 day numbers and they are PHENOMENAL. Test levels of a teenager. I'll put them down in the next down. Got to go right now.

NuclearArms
04-11-2006, 05:58 PM
Here are the midpoint bloodtest results. Read'em and weep.

ITEM......PRE-TRIAL.............DAY 11.................INCREASE
Test........187 .....................1079....................577%
Free-test..8.8........................52............... ......590%
Estradiol....21.........................15........ .............-30%

Still have one more blood test results from the day after the last day of the trial. Hopefully have those results early next week.

NuclearArms
04-12-2006, 05:53 AM
All the blood tests were done mid-afternoon, it was the only time I was able to keep things consistent. I know there is a difference with increased T levels at the start of the day. Additionally, weight training was not done on the morning of the blood draws, however, some light cardio was done each morning of the blood draw.

Mark the numbers make no sense. Your pre trail numbers give you the test levels of a 70yo.

If this were the case you would not have the ability to put on any muscle and barely (if at all) maintain an erection.

Something aint right.

With the pre trail numbers...Sign up for HRT..STAT!

I was thinking the same thing, I just ain't talkin to a friend about wood unless it's the **** in my backyard!! :D

NuclearArms
04-12-2006, 04:43 PM
Fitty, I would disagree with them making no sense. They are actually rather consistent from previous bloodwork I had done. The key ingredient is free test, and although initially low, is a sustainable level for muscle gain (I got me to prove it). Additionally, the numbers are not the typical "morning" levels and so they are skewed slightly. The impact of resistance training on test is also questionable and could also skew the numbers. Trust me, I looked into HRT in the past and mentioned I was a candidate when I first posted the initial numbers. I couldn't find an endo who would support back then based on free test numbers.

And the bottom line: I have felt and seen effects that greater test levels deliver during this trial. Muscle gain and fat loss. Libido didn't seem to change (I wasn't walking around with wood all day long) but everything was functioning well and as normal.

I appreciate the concern, it's been one of mine as well.

Took things easy in the gym today. I needed a break from the intensity. Ended up doing about 40 sets of chest and delt things. All relatively light, just pumping things up.

And I kinda remember something about Rob's show being discussed in Columbus.

Seated DB presses 100's for 15/15/12. Some rear delt work and some crazy heavy trap work..A few sets with 550.

Back to the heavy stuff in the gym today. Started with a chest/delt/tri workout and it felt great going to heavy failure. Numbers were only down slightly, should be back to previous by the next round of workouts. Going to put some new exercises in the mix and will discuss them as I go along. New to the mix for this cycle are cable laterals for delts. Haven't had these in the rotation for a while. They work well after doing high-incline presses.

Gf it is the Ohio CAG (Carp Anglers Group) opener this weekend. Bank fishing in Lake Erie @ East Harbor. We are expecting about 50 CAG members this weekend from all over the US.

People will understand soon that Carp (common) are America's greatest freshwater sport fish. :)

Note: Don't give me any BS how they hurt other fish or only live in dirty water...A sign of a good clean lake is the Common Carp Population.

Note: They don't eat eggs.

Since the most aggressive stocking the US has ever under taken in the early 1800's..If this were the case all the lakes would be cleaned out.

Sorry...Just got into a heated debate on my fishing website :D

I'm no fan of carp fitty, other than the orange ones in my home pond !! :D People have somer serious misconceptions of the way fish interact. If they REALLY want to EFF up a pond, dump some catfish in there. Pound for pound catfish are the most voracious predator in the water !! They can, will and do eat their bodyweight in food when prey is available.

That's the problem GF. Carp are a good sign of a water's goodness. Carp thrive in clean water..Not dirty. They live well with other fishes and rarely consume fish eggs during the main spawn. They are looking for carbs if you will this time of year for energy. They only become predatory as winter approches, as they need the protein at that time. Note: We are talking Common Carp only here and those are they ones certified by CAG (Carp Anglers Group) That and Mirror. Grass, Buffalo and Amur Carp are not helpful to American Waters. Common carp are.

Just back from the outing..Awesome Time!! Plenty of fish in the 20's and a few 30's caught.

Ready for my WO tomorrow morning for sure...Have to work off this weekends badness :D

Fitty,

I'll give you a great recipe for baked carp exactly as it was given to me by an old lady at the fish counter many years ago.

"So, are you going to marinate the pieces in mixed pickling spices for three days in the fridge? And then are you going to wash off the spices and sprinkle garlic and paprika all over? And then are you going to bake the pieces in a 350 oven for 90 minutes?"

Fishies non gratus, here.

Had a good workout this afernoon. Took the youngster to the Little Gym for a party and snuck off to the Big Gym for me.

Back and biceps were the order of the day. Barbell Rows, Lat pulldowns and pull throughs for back and machine curls and alt DB curls for biceps. Cuople of different things on this rotation. Started the weights a little lower than previous. Looking at more reps for this entire training cycle.

Back at it again today with a fair leg workout. Didn't go heavy due to a bit of foot/ankle inflamation. No need to push it. Did some squats, seated leg curls and calf raises. Nothing fancy or unique.

I had a great start to the year as well! Second cast of the 06 fishing season netted a scrappy seven pound Steelhead Trout :D Stayed out past dark and did some Smelt fishing and did real well.

Nuclear, those towers look awesome at night. Not a sign of ice on Erie, odd for this time of year.

No gym today as it is a holiday from work. Starting the new higher volume program tomorrow. Looking forward to it!
That smelt is damn good. Last year I was back home in Indiana, around June and Kroger's had a bunch of it on sell. So, my uncle bought like 3 pounds of it and we all ate it right up. We battered it and fried it. It was so good.:p

Are they hard to catch? What do you do throw a big net in the water and they get caught in it or what? My uncle said, the only time you can get smelt at the grocrie store is, only a couple months of the year.

Not much to report on this end. I've had half a workout so far this week and it doesn't look like it will be getting better. Had planned on taking Mon & Tues off the weight since the wife was out of town and I had the kids. She comes home early on Wed and lands in the hospital withe a nasty intestinal infection. possible diverticulitous. Looks like she'll be there another day or two, so things will be slow. Other than that, I know where my priorities are. Hell, I even stopped at the local brewpub for a double bok on the way home. Crush, those are bent over 1 arm DB rows...My go to back movement..I am up to 12 reps (sometimes better) with it. I will be 41 this year and have been training since I was 15. I always lean more towards power.

Today was Shoulders/Traps. Went light on the shoulders with seated DB presses with the 100's for 12-15 reps.

Went crazy heavy on the traps with BB shrugs, 495 with three sec hold at top.. 6 sets.

Finished up with some rotator and rear delt work.

J/K King Krush.

I know your question was directed towards Fitty, but perhaps I can answer(we train at the same gym).

I'd say our gym is about as far from hardcore as you can get. Lots of noobs benching 3 times a week, or doing 16-20 working sets for biceps.

This is not to say that there aren't a TON of hardcore dudes(and a fair share of women)who train there. I've seen some gnarly beasts throw around the iron in that place, especially Fitty and his training partner!

Phew!! Finally back at it. Thanks for all the thoughts.

Wife is making a good recovery, didn't need surgery, but the antibiotics wiped her out. Me as well. The interesting thing is the diet they put her on. Its called a "low residue" diet. About as opposite a diet as healthy can be. Basically bland, no fiber, high carb & protien diet. Went to the store and bought the following: white bread, mac & cheese, cheeses, white rice, deli meat, pasta, corn flakes, and a bunch of other bland, easy to digest foods. Oh well.

Finally back in the gym as well. Did legs today and went pretty heavy, near old numbers for leg presses. It'll be interesting to see the soreness that accompanies this one.

New "Big guy" in the gym this week. This guy is a beast. Very nice though. He goes 280-285 and pretty darn strong.

The Big Ragoo used to work out with him some time ago. Hope he sticks around..Good for motivation.

Today was going to be a high rep squat day, but ego got in my way. Wound up doing some very nice sets with 500.

Hit the gym after midnight shift this morning. Had enough energy and a good workout. Heavy on the leg press machine, maxinf out the normal plate carrying capacity. Just going to have to push the reps up more and I have a harder diet to look forward to as well to keep me in check.

Didn't hit the gym yesterday and don't think I'll make it there today. Have to til the yard and get ready to reseed my front yard over the next week.

NuclearArms

I would never, ever do tribal. It's too new generation. I'll stay with classic old-school style.

Had a good workout this morning. Was absolutely beat from alll the yard work yesterday and slept well. Got up early and hit the gym for a chest/delt wo. Changed from a smyth machine incline to regular bar inclines because the machine was in use and I didn't feel like waiting. Didn't push it to the limits cause I didn't have a spotter. I also changed up my delt work just a little bit. I did cable laterals, but I did them with the cables behind my back instead of in front of me. A definite change in the exercise. Felt good though.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

Had to revamp the workout today. My left elbow is shot right now. Feels a bit of tendonitis. Can't do any pressing at all as well as other exercises that force some pressure on the elow. It's probably from too much wanking. Anyway, I was able to get a chest and delt workout in using the seated fly machine, cable cross over, lateral raises with cables, and rear delt machine. Didn't even attempt anything for triceps. Just the way things are.
I'll look at a back biceps and leg workouts at the start of the week. And then see where the elbow is at for the next chest iteration.
