View Full Version : My "the Omega Thunder Rolls and the Nitro Evolution Strikes" Log

Hey all, this is going to be my first log and I have chosen Omegas Cre-Ethyl Thunder and am stacking it with Their Nitro Evolution. I plan to keep it pretty basic with a general review on my lifting days posting the workouts themselves to document my changes in strength. I will be providing before and after pictures at the end as well.

Current Stats:
Age: 29
Weight: 196
BF%: 16-18


Goals:
I am mainly looking for strength increases with this stack. My diet is set up for a lean mass gain and if I can stick to my diet (other than xmas day) I expect a few percentage drop in BF as well. I have not had a creatine product work for me since the first time I tried mono about 7-8 years ago. After reading up on the CEE products I thought I would out Omega’s Products to the test. I have been using Beverly Products mostly for the last year and half but the budget doesn’t allow me to stick with the whole regimen very well.


Current Supps:
Whey Protein ( Champion’s)

Omega Cre-Ethyl Thunder and Nitro Evolution
Muscle Milk ( used sparingly to curb cravings)

Review: I did get a pretty good pump going today. I have heard and I hope they get better. Not much to comment about on Day 1 as I will avoid commenting on the placebo effects. Any comments, questions, tips are appreciated and welcome. Thanks for viewing!

Today was a HIIT cardio session. I woke up at 7 and took the Nitro Evolution and at 8:00 I hit the Lemond Revmaster for 20 minutes.
5 minute warm up
30 second interval
1:20 rest period


The Cardio isn't going to be part of my log but a question to Matpal is "should I expect an energy boost from the evolution?" Today seemed like a breeze. Especially powering through the last couple of intervals with the tension turned up. Usually I am ready to quit after the third interval. Could be that I was just having a good day, who knows. Tomorrow is Leg day, stay tuned!

Today I had meetings out of town so I had to throw in some "at home" leg training with DB's early A.M. I think this was a good thing, my legs are going to be sore as hell tomorrow even with using lighter weights.

DB squats

70 lbs (each hand) X 6 X 4 sets

Walking lunges

25 lbs (each hand) X 8 X 3 sets

Bosu Ball Squats with 8 lb medicine ball
8 X 2 sets

Standing Calf raises ( bodyweight)

I think to keep the log consistant I am going to use this leg workout with possible throwing in some seated calf raises.

Review: My first impression on this stack is positive. As I previously mentioned I haven't noticed good results from regular monohydrate in the last few years but Im liking the effects so far. I have been doing A.M. workouts the last two months and I definately feel more focused and stronger towards the end of the workout. One day one, that was the first time I could get 6 reps for all five sets on the bench and both the ez cable curl and DB curl were up 5 lbs in weight. May have been placebo but Ill see as I get deeper into the log. I am interested to see if I experience better pumps next week as well.

Has anyone noticed better effects from the Nitro evolution as they used it further or am I wrong in assuming thay may happen?

Review:
Off days after Legs.
Diet remained the same except I had to throw in a Quiznos angus sub for Meal 4 on day 4. I am starting to experience some of the same things I got from the monohydrate the first time I used it. I am responding fairly well to the Thunder. My muscles feel harder and I carry a noticeable pump into the next day. Once other Positive thing is that when trying all the other monohydrate suppplents I always would get very slight muscle twitches or spasms. Drinking more water would not make this go away. I have not gotten anything like this with this creatine product yet which is nice. The intial reviews mentioned the CEE causes less bloating. I have to agree with this 100%.

Review: I got a pretty good pump today and wasn't fatigued untill the last couple sets of cable rows. Again, This is the last workout of the first week so I don't have much to compare with. If people are wondering about the affects of Nitro Evolution I am getting pretty good pumps but not to the point where I have veins popping out everywhere. I have noticed a big difference in recovery as I am not as sore into the second and third day.

Review: I came down with a cold but decided to work out this morning anyway. I took both the Cre-ethyl Thunder and Nitro Evolution at the same time today and didn't get to work out untill 1.5 hours after. I had a kick ass chest workout and increased my weight and reps by a considerable amount in a weeks time. Im sure it was a combination of "the day i was having" and the stack but either way I was liking it. I had a lot better pump today as well and it carried into late afternoon. My overall review of this stack for the day is awesome. The holiday threw a small dent into my nutrition but my weight has stayed the same. I am drinking water like a horse too. I am very thirsty all the time.

I was not able to include bis and tris with yesterdays workout so I did them in the a.m. Today.

I took Thunder and Evolution together today 45 minutes before my workout. It is a litte more convenient to take them at the same time and I haven't noticed a difference in effects so I will continue with this.

Review: I obviously felt stronger on Dips and Db curls due to the fact I had not performed my chest workout prior to, so I will see what happens the next workout. After my dips my whole upper body had a an awesome pump going. Although this feels terrific, I am still mainly concerned with increasing the weights on my lifts and seeing if my body composition changes at the end of two months.

I am down 2 lbs from day one. I will re measure BF % in two weeks. along with pics and skinfold comparison.

Thursday I woke up a little late and took the "stack" at 8:30 and worked out at 9:30. So far Diet has been very consistent as I had hoped. I more or less have made substitutions for protien and carb sources rather than blowing meals alltogether. Aside from Xmas day, I have eaten at Subway twice i the last two weeks. Water intake has been around 1.5 gallons.

Review. I felt i could have done more weight on the DB squats however I not quite convinced my form is that great. I will be switching to squats and heading to the workout facility. Plus my powerblocks are limited in weight and I need to throw in something for hamstrings. Lunges felt great today and I increased the weight from the previous week on everything. As far as the Supplement stack goes, I am getting a lot better pumps. My upper body and lower body was really tight after todays workout. Even though it was leg day I had a tremendous pump going in the upper from holding on to the 75 lb Db's. I mentioned earlier that ALL other creatine mono supps I tried produced muscle twitches/spasms regardless of how much water I took. So far, the CEE in Thunder has not done this at all. Body composition will be taken at the end of next week.

I have not posted in a few days, On saturday the 31st I worked out early A.M. as usuall. I didn't have a lot of energy, but felt the workout was solid.

Review: I made slight increases in reps and/or weight. I felt better towards the end of the workout, early on I was dead tired. I am definately seeing a difference in definition and muscle density. Upper and lower. SO far I am loving the results. I will try and post some pics in the next couple of weeks when I get my home PC back.

Review: So far I have increased my reps and weight each week. To be fair, I have not done much regular barbell bench press prior to the log so much of that is a training effect and getting the feel of the bar back again. That is probably why I am up 20 lbs on that lift so far. Everything else has been a bit lower but significant. I have tremendous energy about an hour after taking the stack, due to the caffeine Im sure but it sure is helping none the less. Pumps are good, nothing crazy though. I swithched from Champion pure whey to ON 100% whey, that is the only change I have made in supplementation.

Review: Very Good energy from this stack again today. I will see how this leg workout pans out since I will be doing this for the next 5 weeks. I see Omega is coming out with Lightning. If I would have known this I would have saved my "log title" untill I could have tried this out:) I can't wait to do a comparison though. The 2nd month of my log I will look into using their new product.

I did cardio today. Man I hate cardio! Not much to comment on except that I ate a lot of potatoe chips last night during the Rose bowl. Vince Young inspired me to only eat half the bag though:)

Review: Good day today. By the time pull ups came around I could barely hold onto the bar so that part sucked. I did make some pretty good increases on everything else though. So far so good, One more week to go!!

Review: I made small progressions on every lift. Triceps pushdowns was a big changes but I lowered the reps. This is the last week of my log and then plan on using nothing for a week or so to see if I notice a difference in strength/pumps. I will start another month using Thunder and may or may not add something to stack it with after a week or two off depending on some other factors. I hope my log has been informative thus far. I plan to have some before/after pics on friday or saturday with a full summary

Review: Good increases in weight in squats and lunges today. The energy from the thunder has been great, Im ready to go about 30 min to 1 hr after taking the stack. The increases in the lifts are very motivating, I have not missed a workout this whole month. If Im not able to test Lightning for Omega after this week I will take Cre-Ethyl thunder on its own for about a week. I will have about 4-5 days left as I did not take it on off days every single day. Ill update on if or how different the pumps are.

Alright, THis is the best I could do for now. I have one more workout day before the end of my log but will not have access to a camera. I borrowed a friends for the day and it worked out to be a few days before the end. Its not Like I will grow in the next two days anyways. I didn't have a before pic for legs but oh well.

I used some stupid ass self tanning towels for the before but decided not to spend 12 bucks for the after pics. reserve your comments on my orange glow! :)

Note: First Log, not looking for a body transformation instead, strength and lean mass. So far- Happy with the results.

Review:
Based on some searching I decided to try the Thunder/evolution stack and I am happy with my decision. My workouts had been fairly consistant but lacked the intensity and strength increases I would have like to seen. What a difference it makes to keep a log, I usually just go by feel on my workouts. I reccomend this stack to anyone who has not tried it yet. My other supps were a basic whey protein and a multi druring this log. I used Muscle milk for the first two weeks and then ran out but I only used that before bed because it tastes so damn good. After that I just used whey and milk and PB or cottage cheese and blueberries.

I dropped about a pound a week and about 2-3 BF% overall. I was after strength and THAT it gave me. Im curious to see if/what changes in the 2nd month as I have been chosen to try out Omega Sports -Lightning. I will continue with the Thunder and do a log on the Thunder/lightning stack as soon as it arrives. Hopefully this log has been helpfull to those considering a new stack and thanks to Omega Sports for making a sound product.
