I tried doing a search but there were far too many pages to skim through to find what I was looking for... but my question is... I dont have any oats at my house, I just ran out of dextrose, so would it be ok to put honey into my pwo shake along with eating a banana on the side? I hear that honey gives you a rather crazy insulin spike. Thanks for the future input guys and gals

Honey is pure concentrated fructose, it doesn't replentish the glycogen stores of the muscles (it goes to your liver).

Absolutely fine. That's what a lot of the old school guys like steve reeves did back in the day when they didnt have fancy supplements.

uhhhh, there is glucose, somewhere around 40:60 gluc:fruc

and some fructose is good, you could go whey, milk, honey and you'd be good to go
