TO MY LADIES: I've been working out for three weeks...lifting. I know everything takes time. On average...when should I start seeing results????? With muscle training...do I become lean ..and then the cuts come in? When I constantly look at myself it may be hard to tell.

Hi... as far as results go, they are really dependant on a lot of things: your body fat percentage, your diet, your training regime and your body structure (mesomorph etc).

Do you feel comfortable with what youre doing in the gym? Do you feel like you have a good diet down? Are you doing cardio? What I would recommend is that you post your training/diet and have us look at it, then we can give you some pointers etc :)

Consistency and patience are the two most important things in bbing :) Good for you for getting started!

For warmup: 35-40 min of cardio/treadmill at 4.5 speed..
(some days 20 min at 5.0)
m-chest/back...recently started doing deadlifts & pull ups
t-legs..squats, smith machine, leg press, curls, extensions (on occassions lunges)
w-biceps, triceps, chest gets hit again
t-cardio workout (stairs, boxing)
**abs are throughout the week!

Diet: working progress: Varies from tuna, tilapia, potatoes, bulgar wheat, brown rice, veggies, fruits and protein powder-isopure and i'm now incorporating egg whites. I don't eat meat...and I cut out cold cereal, I was told is giving me the soft look!

Hi
Ok as far as your workouts go, do your cardio afterwards: you will have more energy for your workouts (esp since putting on muscle is what youre looking to achieve) and b/c if you do your cardio after then your body will be forced to use bodyfat for fuel instead of stored glucose (which would have been used during the workout).

Your diet: it looks really good! I would suggest doing protein with carbs for all meals before 6 or 7pm. After that have protein with veg and add some healthy fat (1tbsp olive oil/natty pbutter etc). Add veg to all your meals if you want. Its really important to have a consistent meal plan, where your food is pretty much the same all day everyday. I can help with that if you want

i'd like to point out the importance of pre and post workout nutrition here...which u may be well aware of. if you're trying to build muscle u need a 25g whey shake 30min before your workout and a 50g one immedietly after the workout and before your cardio. the grams dont have to be exact, just an estimate on my part.

good luck with losing all the muscle you gain because you have no diet or workout routine.
