I plan to start competing next year if my lifts are good enough but I dont know where an Olympic competition would be held in my area. If anyone knows any links or information it would be highly appreciated.:)

Oh, you're in Georgia? Then you are in luck. It's a relative hotbed for weightlifting.
See http://teamsavannah.com/
or
Gym Name: Coffee's Gym
Owner/Manager: John Coffee
Address: 1800 Lower Roswell Rd.
City: Marietta
State/Province/Country: GA
Zip: 30068
Phone Number: (770) 321-6900
I am sure there is more, but that's a start to find more information

Training and competing with people better than you is the best way to get advice and improve
I've found that the people involved in this sport are exceptionally welcoming and encouraging. Everyone starts somewhere and everyone wants to see you improve.
Give em a call, sooner is MUCH better than later

Thanks man Ive wanted to compete in either Oly or powerlifting since I started lifting so if I start competing I want to get at least in the top 3. Guess it just means I need to work harder.

I don't know how close you are to the clubs and coaches I mentioned but I think it would be a blessing to be close to a major club. A lot of the best weightlifters in the United States have come from there.
