Really, if you are trying to look better and feel better. Diet Diet Diet Diet, Train, and cardio.
All that other stuff should be reserved for when you really need it.
Then it will yield better effects for you.
I say go with the diet. Do cardio 6 days a week and train for 5. After you have been doin this for months then think of the other stuff.

r-ALA (alpha lipoic acid) www.anabolicfitness.com sells it, great stuff, take 800-1200mg daily, right before meals with carbs is best.

I would use a KETO diet to get ripped.
I would concentrate on a solid 3 meal a day diet and do cardio every chance you get. If that doesnt work, try a thermogenic.

What's your current height, weight, macronutrient breakdown, and cardio regimen?

No seriously dude get the basics down and execute. What power is knowledge when you don't apply it on a consistent basis or just brush it off with excuses? Like "well that guy must have good genetics" or "that guy must be on steroids" or "I tried that and it didnt work"
Get the basics and execute day by day, Learn, tweak back and forth and have patience.
Serge nubret said in a post on this forum when someone said "why ask serge such stupid questions?" to which serge replied: "I dont mind, bodybuilding is a sport that teaches patience"
There is NO quick fix, especially if you are a natural athlete that tries to reach his/her goal without the aid of performance enhancing drugs. Dont come with excuses, blame it on someone else or even look for a new diet/workout regime if you havent even put in the work and consistent effort to get where you want to be.
I am not trying to be mean or sound harsh but it's the truth. If you REALLY want this, sit down and think for a second and be honest to yourself.
Have you done EVERYTHING? that means, being consistent with diet, eating every 2-3 hours, not missing workouts, going to bed extra early, getting up early so you can do your cardio before school/job? What difference does macros/cardio frequency/what angle of incline on the machine etc if you dont execute the daily disciplines (diet, training, rest, visualisation) that is needed to get where you want.
Have you even tried to make those BASIC sacrifices that is needed within this sport? If not, then of course you dont have the results you want.
Because you havent done WHAT IS REQUIRED.
Dont brush this off, I wrote this from the heart. It reminds me of a qoute from skip la cour (a 6 time national champion and natural bodybuilder) "No worthwhile goal comes without some kind of sacrifice" And that is what in my view makes it worth doing.
Please for your own sake, if you really want this, reflect on what i just said and good luck in whatever direction you take in life.

The best stack is to track your diet with a website like fitday.com, find out what your taking in daily as far as pro\carb\fat, that combined with a cardio regiment. This way you can adjust each week. Lose 1-2lbs a week to keep muscle and make adjustments as you go.

Oh jeeze, stop giving advice like this, it's obvious you're new and start checking thread dates before you reply to a thread that popped up as search result

I'd add a fat burner at the last couple weeks of a cut for a final kick in the toosh. The diet, training and cardio alone will be the biggest fat loss factor. That fat burner will just be an extra boost when you start to stall out a bit. If you take it too early on you have no ace in the hole for right before the competition. You can take any fat burners you want but if you eat like **** you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Why do you take so much? That amount isn't cheap and likely won't benefit you as much as you think. Now I don't think 1000mg/day is going to kill you ... I've seen plenty of studies that have used higher doses than than. Mind you they weren't for long durations. (days not months) If you feel you truly need that much then go for it and if you see any possible sides and or negative effects then for sure stop.

From an article Layne wrote on ALA - not sure when this was written or if his views are still the same. I always thought 600mg was probably about right.
"Another interesting turn of events was the difference in degree of effect from an increased dosage. We saw rather dramatic changes in blood glucose dynamics when the dosages were increased from 0 to 300mg/day. Likewise when they were increased from 300 to 600/mg a day. However, increasing from 600 to 900, or 900 to 1200mg a day, the degree of difference was not very noticeable. It was like throwing a match into a bonfire. On the other hand the degree of improvement when going from 600 to 1200 mg /day was rather significant and something to note. Based on these observations, I see no reason to consume more than 600mg of ALA within any six-hour period."
