looks damn good...just lose the thermogain/shred...they are worthless. beyond that, assuming you are using the right things at the right time, the list looks great. Some natties will use a tribulus or ZMA product, but they are marginally effective at best. You have a good list there. Just be sure to focus on whole foods a lot more than supps. This game is 90% diet...good luck to you.
what show are you doing?

I am waiting for a natural show in late march, early april of 2006, so I don't know of any yet because they aren't posted, but that's my goal. I am bulking up right now and I want to compete in the middleweight classes. I've used Tribulus before and really didn't notice anything. As for my thermogenic, man I love it actually. I've been taking Thermogain for a year now and I love the energy rush, not to mention the profuse sweating. I actually think this MT product is pretty damn good.

well if you like th MT products, then roll with it. Just be sure to get all the other stuff first, the MT stuff is the least effective and important of the bunch.
As far a show, take a look at the NANBF...they have a show called the Southern States Classic held in Liberty, MS(basically part of Kansas City)...its a big show(over 100 people last year). Also, they go by height, not weight...so thats appealing too. Its held in early april I think...check out the site: www.nanbf.org
Either way, good luck man!

I am worried about the height classes. I am 5'11" and plan to compete around 172. I was wondering how heavy competitors get in this class because I don't want to get completed blown away by some guys weighing over 200. Are all natural comp's regulated by height?

You should have a BCAA product in there like Scivation's Xtend or Beverly's Glutamine Select + Bcaa's.

Whey protein isolate/concentrate blends have a lot of BCAAs. One of the whey products I use is Cytosport's Complete Whey protein, it's BCAA to EAA ratio is over 50%.
In my opinion, a good, solid food diet with some "supplementation" for your extra protein and creatine will get you where you want to be while mainting a positive nitrogen, as well as bank account, balance.

Hey brother,
Just letting you know that if you want to compete (especially in Ohio) there are two contest every year in Lakewood, Ohio. For natural shows they are pretty good. Decently ran but always worth doing. I have myself competed a few times in them and am planning on competing this coming april. The first one is April 1st and the second one will be around October 7th or so (that's 2006). The are drug-tested unlike some that say they are and then no one gets tested. They are also NPC shows, but don't let that scare you. Some promoters really try to keep steroids out of it, although it seems to be getting more difficult. Anyway, if you want more info about his show go to www.daveliberman.com, his website will give you a little more detail about them.
Good luck

No, not all natural shows are broken up by height...in fact, the NANBF is the only organization I know of who does it this way. The INBF and OCB both go by weight. As far as your concern with "heavies" getting into a certain class...dont even sweat that. Weight doesnt have much to do with it...its all conditioning anyways. At 5'11" you will be right on the cutoff for medium and tall classes. I have seen shows that you would compete as a medium and I have seen shows you would compete as a tall. The decision regarding height cut-offs is made by the promoter based on entries...so a big show is going to have a taller cut-off...I hope that makes sense. The small shows are tough for the tall guys, since the cut-off into tall can be as low as 5'9"...thats tough if you are like me and have to stand up there at 6'2". Hence why I only do the big shows. You get a 100+ competitors and the height cut-off into the tall class is always 5'11" or so...making it much more fair for the tall guys.
Layne, glad to hear you are doing the Liberty show...I'm going to watch a few friends anyways, so if you need any help backstage, let me know. Also, are you planning on the Central Midwest show here in Des Moines 4weeks after liberty? Its another pro-qualifier...

I have seen a show in Toledo in March 2006 under NANBF that I have enquired about entering, I think it was called the Toledo Glass Crown. I would like to stay around Ohio if at all possible. I guess the height factor really isnt going to bother me much anymore since I plan to compete in novice only if thats an option. Thanks for the info
